Gatekeepers are the Five selected by Foo. You don't really have to be let in, since all the information will be posted here.

If the first five are the gatekeepers, then what are the keys that he has given them? I could be wrong, but what if the first five arent the gate keepers?

I just posted a comment asking, just to be on the safe side.

I however, have recieved no 'key'. Unless that message I posted is the key and there's a puzzle there I missed.

KGBrAm, can you make the video public? I could upload it again, but it'll be easier for you.

On the topic of "Who are the gatekeepers"

this is how the Foo blog reads
Quote:
Until then... to those who are loyal and have proven trustworthy:
I HAVE GIVEN THE GATEKEEPERS THE KEYS.

The way I see it, the first 5, need to also be looking for the gatekeepers.

Ok let me explain then.

Those of you who have contacted Foo and gained his trust. He should have replied to you with a passphrase. If you do not have the passphrase he does not trust you enough to let you in.

Locate and and contact one of the 5 allies he has with the super-secret passphrase and you'll get hooked up.

He names the 5 guys in the transcript posted in this very thread.

I think we are in quite a predicment here. Right now, we are choosing side. (I chose Brakin) This may lead to a player vs. player battle royal or something!
Also, who should we supply information to? Should we give all of Foo's secrets to Brakin? All of Brakin's secrets to Foo? Niether?
One thing I do think we should have is some kind of order where we only let each person have a little info of the other's. We must not betray our trust with any of them. I have a feeling both will be EXTREMELY important in the long run. So, be careful on what you tell each person.

I have been conversing with Foo since the beginning, it seems like I had gained his trust, but i recieved no phrase.

If you have the phrase, it would be a good idea to post it I think, or at least PM it Smile

The man and cryptic:

Check the OOG/IG topic. We won't hide part of the game OOG, but we won't betray Foo's trust IG. That means unless you have the phrase, we will not let you in IG. But everyone is in OOG.

So choose a side, try not to betray that side and don't ask others to betray their side IG. Still remember we're all one happy team OOG.

OOG= Out Of game= Everything in uF
IG= In Game= Everything out of uF

I received an email from FOO after asking about the second clip from Fujimoto 2036:

Foo email wrote:

Fujimoto knows the power of calling things by certain names. I realized he said something I had never told anyone before. The second message encoded into data that only I had access to confirmed this, and though it raised more questions still, it gave me the courage to do what I have done for the sake of the scientific world and freedom of knowledge.

This morning's compressed data burst from the Deus City scientists contained the key that should allow the first stage to be complete sometime this weekend. Then perhaps we will all know the truth. Be patient.

Actually, dude... no offense, but that's not really how this works.

You of course, can choose not to share information with someone, but really, the games are played with information to be shared.

But the sentence "try not to betray that side and don't ask others to betray their side IG" is not right. People can play however they want.

I agree that what's written here alone is ENTIRELY OOG. So just because you posted something here doesn't mean that IG they'd have a reason to have that knowledge. I'm totally with you there.

But anyone, at anytime, can choose to betray using IG info. It's the puppetmasters' responsibility to manage the way a game is played and how info flows.

While I think people will tend to play the way you outlined anyway, I just wanted to make clear that it's not UF's responsibility to monitor that stuff, and secondly, if a player, using only IG info, gives say "Foo's secret stuff" to Brackin, or vice-versa, they have every right to do that. If it screws up the game, then that means it's generally a badly flawed game design.

So again, know I mean no offense by this, and all, but really, it's up to players how they want to play.

The only rule is that UF is OOG, so if someone got IG info through here alone, and could not obtain that info IG, then yeah, it's just shared knowledge here and nowhere else. But beyond that, it's fair game.
