Can anyone tell me if there's actually a colon after the "five fingers point" part of the cipher? I've been thinking that with PXC's preoccupation with cubes, it seems odd that there are only five categories. It also strikes me as odd on the library of babel page that there is a cube (with six sides) spinning in the background but only five episodes.

Maybe i'm reading too much into it. Sad

Nope, no colon in the raw plaintext. No spaces either.

Is it possible that the five fingers are the wave four meta puzzles?

the beale cipher from secret location, the diamonds rubies etc from going dotty, the dark shapes, the number strings, and the micro-text?

I've been having a similar thought...

What about the hidden image on #220 Precision? Would that image fall under something?

IF the five fingered plan is the META puzzles
we probably need to include the one we solved already: The letters (which gave us I stole the Cube Help Me Combed Thunderclap.

I would also include the playing card symbols as a META puzzle.

The other three?

the number strings

the shapes

the risk pieces and dice?

the unsolved stuff on the other cards?

Yeesh, lots of quotes there.

It's so easy to lose track of all the things on the cards especially if, like me, you don't keep up with all the individual card threads. Having just stared at my #220 in fascination at this weird little shape at the bottom I'm starting to think that there are more things that we've missed. However you look at it though there seems to be more than five puzzles on the cards unless we work out a link between numbers/risk/blobs. One thing that, IMHO, I would eliminate is the Beale Cipher - it doesn't seem likely that the five fingers clue is itself one of the five fingers. But we all seem to think of different things.

So the things I know about on the cards are:

Shadowy letters - CT stole the cube
Playing card symbols on prime numbers - these marked cards have puzzles on
Number strings
Risk pieces/dice
Blobs - may or may not connect into a wiggly thing: linky
Micro text on #237 - otpaaworldtdnia 1.56.29, no playing card
Beale Cipher on 223 - five fingers clue
Gems on #156 - connection to #060, no playing card
Odd shape on #220 - may not be on all cards so could be just a printing accident but possibly not as it's really hard to spot. Also not a playing card card
Old UV writing on #146 - is this a CT puzzle? Not wave 4, not a playing card and more to do with 3P
Different number string on #084 - not wave 4, no playing card but still don't have a clue what they are
Persian #239 - it's a joker but no clues found on it which is just plain suspicious

Any more I've forgotten?

I don't know whether this has been touched upon anywhere, but in the text there is a line that says;

"Unlike black, I do not despise the circle".

This stood out for me as it seemed out of context to the rest of the text, does anyone know what it refers to???

Yes - it refers to the James Thurber book that CT mentions - 'The Wonderful O'. The story concerns a pirate named Black who despises all things circular (due to a childhood trauma involving his mother and a porthole Shocked ) and so bans all words with the letter 'O' in them.
