It does sounds Orwellian, but considering the rest of the world is in war, I'll take that chip.

So long as we're spouting propaganda at each other Wink

Leviticus: "freedom is a fair price for security"
Benjamin Franklin: "people willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both"

You have no idea how many times I've used that Franklin quote. Wink

Hey there, still reading up on all the stuff in this story, but I've gone through this thread (instead of writing my thesis report btw.).

While it looks like Foo is a little paranoid, and Brackin is a victim/whiner/what not. Could it be that Foo is not trying to change the future to become Deus City, but rather is trying to change the future so that it DOESN'T become Deus City?

I dunno, I still got more blog to read and all, and I guess I'll lurk alot on this ARG since im kinda busy, but I think I'll strike up some communication with AB. I've always wanted to be a stormtrooper Smile

It's a possibility, but the guy in the 2036 message was Foo in the future. If he's the president of the only 'safe' place on Earth, why would he want to change the future against that?

Maybe he really REALLY dislikes what he made, and want to redeem it? I doubt it though...

Hmm thats an interesting thought. I have been loosely following this game and I actually think thats a good guess.

Perhaps he is trying to get them to stop his past self from doing something he will regret or something? Hmm not sure. Intersting ARG though, Spring 07 should be interesting Smile

The Deus city webpage has been changed.
I found it in the newest post at Foo's blog
www.deuscity.com

I poked around a bit, there are some news stories, and if you log in, you get access to puzzles that give credits.

The white district puzzels can be done with red karma, but you need green karma to do the grey district puzzles.

I have red =(

There also apear to be an ingame forum on their website where agents can communicate.

Unfortunately, I have red as well. However, I'm not quite understanding how the whole task/puzzle system works. I went for the Digital Imaging Building task, got lucky and input a random guess which resulted in a correct answer, yet I got rewards. I thought that number (2 credits, 95 credits, etc.) was the amount you needed to pay for the task. Obviously not.

Some of the puzzles if you wait a few seconds allow you to submit to the Brotherhood with a "materializing" link.
