Some people might disagree, but quality-wise, *I* think the show is getting progressively better with each passing ep. Not only the clues, but also the ACTING, is getting more subtle and shaded with layers of meaning (e.g., Jim comes across more as a slightly tortured but earnest soul, with occasional lapses into pedantic "regulator" geekitude, than the wan Dale Cooper knockoff he seemed to be in episode 1). Plus, now that the producers are apparently having the eps directed by more straightforward TV directors rather than the flashy, "lookit me!" avant-film directors of the early eps such as John McNaughton, we get less odd-angled-shots-for-oddness' sake, and more genuine good old fashioned functional visual storytelling.

And the characters -- or at least some of them -- are deepening as well. Scarlett Chorvat's Mary is still, so far, an unfortunately-acted, thinly conceived stock character femme fatale with no real hints as to depth, but I am really beginning to like where the writers are going with the potential tragedy of the Jim-Darlene-Grace love triangle, and Grace's obvious "enabling" tendencies. I also like what the actress Conchata Ferrell is doing with the potentially thankless role of Martha, and I still have HIGH hopes for Liz Vassey as Dawn. (Of course, that's probably because I have a hopeless crush on her, too. Wink )

Of course, when all is said and done, it's STILL gonna get slaughtered by CSI in the ratings. Sad

That may be, but if you saw "Good Morning Miami" like I happened to (which you probably didn't since Push was on...I had to tape Push) then you'll know that "Push, Nevada" has no real competition there. The five people who were watching it were talking about how it was absolutely god-awful.

And, What about Survior?

I mean, are they trying to get less people to watch the show? Or, maybe, they're trying to cut other channels' ratings as much as possible while assuming that people would rather watch Push...

Push...

VCR's are made for shows like Push...I have actually found myself looking back at previous shows after I hear clues and stuff mentioned by other people. I would still tape Push even if I didnt have to
