Extreme Upgrade to Perplex City.com
16th November 2006
The Extreme Puzzling Competition is now over. Judging will be taking place over the next week or so. It may take a while as we have had many amazing entries! More here when we get the results.
Good day. As you may have noticed we had a bit of downtime today whilst we were upgrading the website. We are now back with a shiny new version. It may not look that different, but there are some interesting new changes. We have a whole new URL system, and whilst ALL the old URLs should work fine, we encourage you to change any bookmarks you have as the new ones are just shinier.
Uploads are temporarily down for a week or so. When they are back everyone should be able to continue uploading their avatars without a hitch.
You should no longer get logged out when you want to stay logged in. As an extension of this we have implemented an extra authentication system, which means you have to re-enter your password every once in a while if you want to change any account information, for security reasons.
One page you should check out is our newly updated Products page. There have also been a couple of other minor changes, but I'm not going to mention those so you will be pleasantly surprised!

What are the changes to the Products page? I didn't see anything revolutionary in the way of changes. Hidden puzzle? Anything? Lame stuff? What?

How bizarre, I'm sure I saw the news and these changes last night, but this morning it looks like the news item has disappeared and the changes have gone. (The URL ending in /mypxc/ doesn't seem to work...)
Ah well, must be technical glitches. I'm sure someone at MC is sweating it out - go sysadmins, go!
(Unless my cache is doing really funny things...)

Same here. It was there yesterday, and now it's all gone. How odd

Work has kept me out of the loop for the past month. I come back to see I missed a competition.

One thing I've noticed about the products page... Look at the anagram puzzle (orange) on the card at the bottom for the boardgame...
