[DESCRY] Prisoner.

http://forum.studiocypher.com/forums/10/topics/65 - This is the topic that contains that 'Case File'.

Kevin has posted again, with information about Alvin, a new website (For WA's only) and a puzzle.

Enjoy!

I got this one solved. Spoiler below:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The password is figment. I pasted those symbols at the bottom of Kevin's email in a Notepad document and then I messed around with the window size until it spelled the word "figment" backwards. Here's a link of what it looks like: http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/3429/figmentxz4.jpg

I figured it out earlier, but my internet buggered up so I couldn't post it Sad

Okay, so there's pretty odd stuff coming from that guy.

Right, this is an obvious loop where you have to put in the right words to get a new response.

If you put in something he doesn't respond to he'll show a piece of paper scribbled on and if you take too long; every now and again he'll put up a piece of paper saying "I was become Death".

On the Active Feeds page there's a line of gibberish, which looks very like the stuff from the casefile. I wonder if that's a hint that there's something there? It reminds me of hex, but I haven't had any luck translating it.

To my eyes, it looks more like Base64.

Well, the lines of gibberish are ASCII and HTML codes I do believe. How to convert them into something legible, I'm working on. =)

typed in hello and he shows a note with a lot of writing, half of which I can't read...on that note there appears to be the word "fteller"...type that in for another note.

On further investigation it may stand for fortuneteller, as that brings up the same note.

Words that produce new images:

twins: this brings up a picture that says, "One fine day in the middle of the night." Below it is a picture of "twin" stick figures. There also seems to be arrows indicating that one sees into the past while the other sees into the future. A type of Epimethius vs Promethius complex, maybe?

circles: The ritual circles that were used on the RUMI website.

sacrifice: Series of numbers and letters (some hard to make out) ended with the word "Him"

Some of the words you peeps have described, I have pictures of which you can download higher up in this topic.

I've updated the download with more pictures found by others and will continue to do so, so keep a look out. (I will add to this to my website (http://www.geocities.com/descryagent) when all words have been found)

That looks like part of a nonsense poem, my dad taught me years ago.

One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead men got up to fight,
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.

Same note comes up as when you put in 'four'.

It says
I (looks like SEGIGICE ??) Him
4 Ways
2 Die

You would think that it would be "sacrifice" but the letters def don't match up.

to complete ollys poem

i heard it two dead boys, not men, and, from where he left off

a dead policeman heard the noise
and came and shot the two dead boys
my story i swear is true not tall
ask the blind man, he saw it all

should we be looking for a blind man?
