I just received an email back from Brother Sladius, I had emailed him last night to make sure he was doing ok - here was his reply, there's not much to it. I responded with a "things will get better, let me know if you need anything" type email.

She was a lovely girl. I know I need to move on. My body won't though. My mind won't. We all miss her. I just don't feel like doing anything for a while. Hopefully, this depression will go away. Everything seems to be happening to quickly for everyone. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Brother Sladius sounds really depressed.

I'm just on for a moment. I don't feel like talking anymore. Maybe far later. Athena's death.... was... too brutal. I should have done something....

How are you today? It's me Sylviaaaaaaaa or just Sylvia.

Did you know that you sent me that letter meant for Isabell by mistake? I would have passed it on to her but I couldn't find her. By the way, is her name Isabel or Isabell?

I was reading Father Enoch's blog and he mentioned Brother Nicolai's divination but didn't say what it was that he divined. Would you care to tell me about it.

Thanks Sylvia

Father Enoch's myspace has updated.

There's some audio played on the main page and is a chant in Latin:

Quote:
Emitte lucem tuam, et veritatem tuam, ipsa me deduxerunt, et adduxerunt in montem sanctum tuum, et in tabernacula tua

That's Latin for Psalm 42:

Quote:
Send forth thy light and thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles. And I will go in to the altar of God: to God who giveth joy to my youth. To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp: why art thou sad, O my soul? And why dost thou disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

This may be the purpose of Psalms 42, go here and scroll down a little over midway:
http://www.esotericarchives.com/moses/67moses2.htm
Quote:
Psalms 41 to 43.— If your enemies have despoiled you of credit and caused you to be mistrusted, and thereby reduce your earnings, or perhaps, deprive you of your office and installed another in your place, you should pray these three times a day for three successive days, together with a prayer that is appropriate to your circumstances, and by doing this you will perceive incredible things. Your enemies will be put to shame and you will be unscathed.

The 42nd Psalm possesses this peculiar characteristic. If you wish to be sure in regard to a certain cause, and desire to obtain information through a dream, you must fast one day, and shortly before retiring to rest you must pray this Psalm and the holy name, àáö Zawa, (which means the Lord of Hosts,) belonging to the Psalm, seven times, making known your desires, each time, in an appropriate prayer, in which your wishes should be plainly named.

pheromones and screaming eagles

Quote:
Sylvia,

Either there is something in the air tonight (like a strong pheromone with a potent hallucinogen) or I I did something right when I studied ancient Chinese medicine and Japanese lovemaking techniques! Smile If the latter is true, then I can only say, "Anata wa watashi no kokoro hi wo tsuketa... Unmeitte Shinjuru?"

The cocktail party went surprisingly well. We opened up a bottle of 1998 Screaming Eagle that I got in Modesto the last time I visited and I got it at a bargain price of $500.00, 1x750mL bottle.

I don't mind sharing the new artifacts at all, it's just that I am a little unsure as to whether or not they are indeed of bona fide authenticity. I am more focused on the photographs than anything else, as they are indeed WWII photos, but suggest that there was something more to Germany than we initially knew of...

To make things even more obscure, I have a letter signed by Der Furher. I studied it VERY closely, and it is indeed his signature. I know his signature very well, as I used to work for Mohawk Arms in Utica, and I appraised Hitler's personal Luger, (his sidearm) along with one of his paintings and many personal documents including stationery and letters with Eva.

I will scan you some images by tomorrow (or tonight should I have insomnia like I did last night) and you can share with me your take on it. I hope you don't think I'm some kind of hoaxer with a plan to hit it big, as I really don't know how to bullshiest people very well. Perhaps I can still get a hold of my old boss and have him take a look at these things too, as I have totally run out of ideas.

Ideas that make sense, or won't get me locked away somewhere!

We should have dinner before they do!

Robert

Robert,

I hope it's okay that i call you Robert. You didn't say i could but then you didn't say i couldn't. I would love nothing more than to cozy up in front of the fire place with you and take a couple of tokes from your pipe while you show and tell me about your most recent rare literary findings. But alas, we are so far apart and all we have is this internet to keep us in touch but i guess that is better than nothing at all.

Anyway, how did your cocktail party go? Oh, how i wish, i could have been there. Did you and your friends learn anything about the origins of the items from your collection that you were telling me about. Perhaps you could show them to me and i too could help. I have some friends who are experts on these sort of things. Maybe I could show the items to them. I'm sure they could tell you the origins in no time at all.

talk to you soon,

Sylvia

Quote:

Teri,

Please accept my deepest apologies! How embarrassing! I found out the minute my friend Jerry arrived that the joke was on me! He's been trying to get me back for something I did to him when he was a bit intoxicated. It was a bit childish of me, but that's just how my cocktail parties go. My friends Rick and Janet are known to have some pretty wild ones too.

Anyways, I feel so terrible about the mix up, and I wouldn't wish to upset you any further by throwing you to the lions! Jerry is married, to a real... shrewd person, for lack of better / appropriate words.

So would you mind explaining this who thing to me?

I thought that since it wasn't Jerry it was maybe one of those conspiracy theorists with the microwave resistant hats!

I'm sorry, I'm just messing with ya, my martini needed a refill. Eight times so far tonight!

So I have a really friendly girl write me a few days ago, saying the most wonderful things, and another who shared my passion about books, and, I guess I was just assuming that there is some kind of big practical joke being played at my expense.

However, if you know good ol' Dr. Price, then you know a man who likes to live, dangerously.

Yes, I know, in the library. Well, think of me as "Dr. Price and the Raiders of the Lost and Found". Wow that wasn't even remotely funny, but I did I great job scaring away the crickets.

So again, sorry for the confusion, unless I so suddenly drew the attention of a small group of stalkers, in which case I would have no choice but to....

... enjoy this moment in time for the rest of my life, and send my x-fiancee some pictures of me smiling and enjoying myself. Which reminds me I gotta send here that damn check tomorrow. I swear she took the "money" out of Alimoney!

So it is very nice meeting you Teri! No worries though, if I say I'm going to post something on my site reguarding some SERIOUS interests, I promise I wont hold any info of that stature (should it be true) to any one, unless I am fooled by a very good replicist.

Talk you you soon!

Robert

P.s. - I don't think replicist is a word, (a person who makes replicas) so add it to "Robert's Complete Word Book Formed of Incomplete Thoughts And Sentences" when the publishing house asks for me.

Letter from Dr. Price

Nothing particularly interesting here, but thought I'd add it anyway.

Quote:

Andrew,

Thanks so much for showing interest in Peoria Historical Society. Much like all of history, we have been a bit unorganized, a little irresponsible, but definitely not been invaded by the Ottoman Empire yet. I recently got my paws on some really interesting books and documents that are being examined right now, so I had to put off our normal meetings until I get results pertaining to authenticity.

We will be having many more meetings, I assure you, as not having new and unexplored knowledge is the same as not breathing air.

Our meetings are really just a group of people who have a passion for antiquities of the shelves, in fact, right now I think only 3 or 4 of us are meeting at this time for regular sessions, but I still have the auction house, it's just that that meeting has generalized (and often seriously fluctuating) topics, but I advertise for 'em, part of the contract right now.

But to anwer your question more so directly, we are pretty much hobbyists, with very fragile, expensive hobbies.

Should you be around for the next meeting, drop me a line and I'm sure I could take you on the tour of our tiny little building which we here are oh so proud of!

Dr. R H Price

Excellent, Nini. Welcome to Gatewood, I am Father Enoch. It seems the word about our current situation has traveled quite a bit. This is great news. Keep an eye open for notes and news here at drawingdownthewolf.

And if you should hear from a boy named Caine, please let him know that I am not angry with him, and I only wish for his safety.

I can feel a slight shiver in my blood as everyone gets closer to the pages that will set us free.

By for now, my child.

Father Enoch

After alertig Enoch that we found his doctor in peoria, he says:

Quote:
That is wonderful news!

I have been bed ridden for the past few days, and the computer in my quarters apparently became ill as well. Please work on getting the pages for us, and all the students of Gatewood want to say "Thank You" and that they knew they could believe in you. I would imagine that you would simply ask him for it, as I wouldn't want you to do anything deceptive to obtain it. I will be in very deep focus within the seal soon, but I will return much later. Thank you again.

Father Enoch

Well, I wonder what Caine has done exactly? Wondered if he finally broke out of Gatewood. hmm.

New Used Stuff!

Alrighty, I have been waiting on this woman to do some testing on the newest box o' fun I bought, a gigantic lot of... and array of books, documents and photos. I have gotten one photo back so far as well as a telegram. It is definitely WWII era, as it is definitely from Hitler.

So you have been forewarned that I don't know what to make of it just yet, and you didn't even have to sign a disclaimer. I have to tell you right now, I can't make sense of what is in this stuff. Literally. I don't really think that they are historically accurate, but then again, I couldn't give you a straight answer on what I think they are.

My friend Jerry wants to borrow one of the things I got to have it appraised, and since seeing this odd stuff, I'm not exactly sure what it is I have anyways.

Ooops! I didn't even realize what time it is, I guess that means I'll post the photo when I get back home.

Basic translation by myself and ninikins (fluent german speaker). She says it's kind of broken German but the closest is this. Please note, it's not a direct translation as some doesn't make sense but it's what we can get out of it.

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:29:10 AM): Japanese, Latin, French, German. Never took a language course in my life, so I still ususally have a reference.

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:33:18 AM): It has been pretty wild the last few days, I've been getting prank calls, and emails from people about the end is near or what have you.
peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:33:35 AM): And I find these Nazi photos,

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:33:50 AM): omg, i can only imagine

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:35:24 AM): stuffed inside a US Army sea bag, and this bag is FILLED with german documents, jewish liturature, and the bag even contained the soldier's papers.
peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:35:39 AM): Not only that, but some really old manuscript pages (I haven't gotten the results back from dating yet) two of which crumbled when the bag was opened,

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:37:25 AM): oh goodness

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:37:25 AM): and some others with the same ink, the same style art,

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:37:51 AM): looked as if they were only a few years old,

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:38:18 AM): Maybe the soldier was a forger?
peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:38:29 AM): Maybe he was helping nazis?

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:39:07 AM): what about the letter with Hitler's signature

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:39:09 AM): maybe he just happened to decide to want to walk around Germany with a bag full of death sentences during the fall of the third reich!

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:39:27 AM): perhaps

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:39:31 AM): It does'nt make any sense at all

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:39:41 AM): no it doesn't

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:40:09 AM): The letter is being chemically analyzed for stamp and watermark info.

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:41:42 AM): Well, I am currently afraid to draw my own conclusions, as my conclusions would make me appear to be unproffessional.

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:42:01 AM): I can understand that

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:42:08 AM): and I spelled unprofessional wrong, I admit that.

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:42:56 AM): haven't taken too many tokes have you

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:43:23 AM): Ha! I didn't even make it to my smoking jacket tonight.

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:43:42 AM): ah, that's not good
syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:44:02 AM): the party sounded like it was a blast

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:44:30 AM): It went very well, except I embarrassed myself

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:44:39 AM): how did you do that

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:45:50 AM): This woman sent me an email, and I thought it was my lawyer friend, Jerry. I wrote back to "Jerry" who wasn't Jery at all, and then made a fool of myself during the toast of the evening.
peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:46:09 AM): Needless to say, I apologized to her.

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:46:19 AM): omg, I can imagine

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:47:17 AM): I think her name was Teri. I feel so bad, she was really just being curious, even though she's a little paranoid with premonitions of the four horsemen or what have you.

syl_vi_a (11/29/2006 3:49:11 AM): I can see how that would cause confusionion and enbarrass you

peoriaonline (11/29/2006 3:49:51 AM): To tell you the honest truth, I am not as popular as I may seem to be.
