[DC][Puzzle] Where in the World is Adam Brackin? Puzzle #9 Currently ?SOLVED?....Brackin is at DefenseCorp. But where is DefenseCorp? I figured it would be easier for casual lurkers (and the not-so casual type) to have all our work on this puzzle in one thread, since it's currently our only unsolved Puzzle.
The previous Puzzle solves are in the [DC][REF]Puzzles So Far thread.
The puzzle:
Quote:
Found it!
I traveled three towns to find them:
Maxwell, Mandrell, and Wright.
Only one had what I sought,
although I knew it not,
all three had something I needed.
The first gave me courage,
the second one strength,
and the third the knowledge required.
Now I move up to follow the trace,
beginning with these:
Westwood Hall and Reaves,
forever leaving my friends behind.
DEUS EX MACHINA
Background information:
Brackin has currently gone from Midland to Abilene to Dublin. For this trip, he has visited David Maxwell, Rose Mandrell, and Alex Wright.
From email clues, we know he will be ditching his car in Oklahoma and that he just got back from a SHORT flight. Westwood - Hall - Reaves are three separate things (places, people, things, all I can be sure is they seem to be nouns). We also know that a hint mentioned "equilateral", so we might be triangulating here (but that is just a guess).

Wow....great job, Wang. That looks about as equilateral as they come, and meshes perfectly with our present information. I'm changing the note on the puzzle to "Solved" until Brackin sends us on the next leg of this wild goose chase.

The university is south of the center of the triangle. As far as I can see there's nothing much at the center, except houses and railroad tracks.

Yeah, I doubt that using natural landmarks you're going to get anything precise by triangulation. The Uni is certainly close enough, and fits with what's been happening, to work.

Hmm...
Norman City Major's office is very very close to where my lines cros, not much line shaking needed to make it hit it. Dunno why he'd want to go there, but it's the closest thing to my line crossings i've Found.

For the next part of Brackin's journey...
Quote:
Thank you to the old friend who helped me get where I needed to go today. You can keep my car. Now the journey can begin. From "West" to "East". It seems somehow poetic. I feel like Jeremiah 2:10. I'll have remember that to me the feed will happen an hour later now. Finding a wi-fi in this town wasn't easy!
The part that matters:
OUN - EZM
Max Westheimer Airport Norman, OK
DEUS EX MACHINA!
And, the solve.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It is important to remember Brackin ditched his car and is changing his time zone, going East.
A search of airport codes reveals that OUN represents Max Westheimer Airport in, get this, NORMAN OKLAHOMA!!! I haven't found EZM, but sufficed to say the first part strains the boundaries of coincidence. But wait, I found it. Eastman Georgia has Heart of Georgia Airport, coded EZM.

New post and new travel descriptions from Adam. Below is the second part of the post, and the part that contains clues
Brackin wrote:
I left my identity and my credit limit behind when I started, so this next link proves to be more difficult. I need to save my remaining pocket cash for the charter when I get there, but I still feel like a hobo. A hobo with a laptop and a wad of cash in his pocket... I'll have to be careful. According to the map it looks like I can hop the low density line all the way to the end and then walk across the causeway to the Island. Who knows what I'll find when I get there. I just hope I'm not leaving too easy of a trail behind.
What I see are some vague travel descriptions. "Charter", "Low Density Line", "Causeway" and "Island" being the words I believe are clues.
Since im not a native english speaker, I'm not 100% sure of all possible
meanings of all of these words, so I'll throw it out there for now.
It does sound to me like he needs to get to this island (Florida Keys? Rhode Island?) and then buy passage on a boat or a plane; isn't that where you would ususally use "Charter"?

Hmmm, I think this'll be the hardest one yet. There are tons of islands with causeways and charter boats. Probably we'll have to focus on the "low-density line," which I can't find anything relevant about.

Low density part is mostly solved...
The low density line is talking about a train line in Georgia (since he's talking about being a hobo). Here's the map of Georgia trains, just need to see what's at the end of the low density line.

Well from NotGords map aswell as the fact that Barckin says he can take the Low Density all the way to the end, and then walk across the causeway etc, I'd say his end point is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Savannah, as that is the only end of a low density line that borders ocean as far as I can see. It also goes very close to Eastman and it's termed the "Heart of Georgia" line. Next to Savannah is also a ton of islands

Actually, upon close inspection, I'd like to change my guess to
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Brunswick.
There's also a Low-Density Endpoint that fit, and there's a "FJ Torras Causewaay" leading to "Lanier Island", and "St. Simons Island"
I decided to leave my first guess up there, but I'm really angling more towards this one now. Mostly because of the Causeway thing.
