Question regarding Crossword Puzzle.

I have searched and haven't found anything about the writing at the top of the crossword puzzle. Wondering if anyone has worked anything out of that...

I did this:
(See attachment)

Took the top, cropped it and then made a mirror image to see if that would help. All I see is possible roman numerals? Maybe backwards "C" is V. Anyone?

No problem. Same thing happened first time I saw the crossword solution... I had to go back and check the original crossword too. Very Happy
