 		Thanks, Sylvia. I admit, i'm starting to get a bit onfused about all the backstory and everything. I haven't spoken to anyone myself and it's really difficult reading through the the chat from other people without much context. This I'll sit back on it for a bit - either i've missed a lot of stuff somehow or i'm just too confused.

I don't take it that way. He asks you if that is her, and you can't tell him for sure, since you haven't had contact yet.

The name we were given is ROUGE moon, not ROGUE moon. Also, would they really make it a private page if this was it?

Sladius: It went quite well, we had all different kinds of vegetables, including radishes. Those are Arius' favorite.

Sladius: Lili and I went down by the lake and talked for what seemed to be 4 or 5 hours.

Hyexistenzz: really? that's nice! are you and she an item?

Sladius: I don't think so. She's 29 and I'm 17. She looks very young for her age. I haven't really felt like talking to another girl since Athena died.

Hyexistenzz: yes, i heard about that. i'm very sorry. it must be a very difficult time for you

Sladius: I've been dealing with it pretty well lately. Father told me that the key to life is to embrace it, not to push it away, so I am trying to embrace the friends I have.

Hyexistenzz: that's an important piece of advice
Hyexistenzz: how is the father doing? i heard his health is not so good right now

Sladius: He is still very weak. He has been sleeping alot, and unfortunately some of us have been using that to have a bit more fun...

Hyexistenzz: haha, really? like what?

Sladius: Well, don't tell anyone this, but Lili got a bottle of brandy from storage the other night and we drank a bit much. I think there are a few others that have found the brandy closet too.

Hyexistenzz: !!! but you're only 17!

Sladius: What's wrong with that?

Hyexistenzz: well, for us, the legal drinking age is 21!

Sladius: Oh, yes! I forgot that you have to live under laws of the sort.

Hyexistenzz: yes, some laws are quite silly if you ask me

Sladius: I agree. I heard that if you steal bread you will have your feet cut off and be imprisoned for 30 years... your laws are strange.

Hyexistenzz: haha, well, not quite. some countries are sort of like that, others are not
Hyexistenzz: but most believe that you should be punished for stealing bread

Sladius: Do you know anyone with no feet?
Sladius: When we are punished here, we have to learn more in a shorter period of time. Knowledge is our punishment.

Hyexistenzz: that's a very good form of punishment. I believe punishment should be used in that way. it's a very good philosophy

Sladius: Lili told me she had to memorize 30 pages of incantations in 2 days. She also said she learned how to Shift, but I don't believe her.
Sladius: I asked her to show me but she wouldn't.

Hyexistenzz: what's shifting?

Sladius: Shifting is having the ability to take the form of another human. During the dark times, and the burning times, we were able to do it, but Father won't teach it anymore because he said it's deceptive and very dangerous.

Hyexistenzz: wow
Hyexistenzz: that;s incredible. i'm so jealous of the the things you are taught
Hyexistenzz: but you don't leave gatewood, is that right?

Sladius: Unfortunately no. The curse keeps us from leaving.

Hyexistenzz: what is this curse? i don't think i understand what that means or how it works.

Sladius: The Gatewood community was one of the first to settle on the United States. It's leader at the time was cursed, and all of the people that lived there disappeared. They say it was the work of the Chaotic One.

Hyexistenzz: was the original settlement on roanoke island?

Sladius: Yes, it was. How did you know?

Hyexistenzz: haha, well, the other night the big chat with us, was that with you or another i don't remember
Hyexistenzz: anyway, the name croat...something was mentioned
Hyexistenzz: and i remember hearing a story about the name croatoan being carved in a tree on roanoke island

Sladius: It may have been Arius. He's working for Enoch right now.

Hyexistenzz: all the settlers disappeared

Sladius: Our books say that the word "CRO" was carved into a tree, and we assumed it was the name of the Chaotic One. Enoch says that they used Croatoan as a scapegoat, to blame someone else so that no one would be reminded of the Chaotic One again.

Hyexistenzz: it's a very fascinating story, and to know that it's true! opens up a whole new world!
Hyexistenzz: how was your leader cursed? what happened to make him cursed?

Sladius: The local natives at the time knew of the Chaotic One, although I think they may have called him something else. Anyways, they didn't want these new people to bring forth this thing, and cursed all the settlers.

Hyexistenzz: wow. they must have been very powerful

Sladius: It surrounded the entire area where they had settled, and many of the settlers either crossed into what is now Gatewood, or as some belive, became sacrifices to the Chaotic One. The latter may be just a story to scare children.

Hyexistenzz: you'll have to forgive my ignorance of your ways, but when you say crossed over, what do you mean? is gatewood in the united states? or is it on another plane of existence?

Sladius: it is still in the same place, but is existing parallel to what is currently there. We have a select few who are not cursed that act as couriers and can cross back and forth.

Hyexistenzz: fascinating. i heard it once said that those who are not cursed cannot get to gatewood. that is a shame, i would love to study there

Sladius: It's a nice place, but I would rather be travelling.
Hyexistenzz: yes, the not being able to leave would be difficult for me. i love to travel
Sladius: Even if you came into Gatewood, you wouldn't survive long, as even the couriers can only stay less than a few minutes. Time somehow affects those who aren't cursed.

Hyexistenzz: strange, how does it affect them?

Sladius: I haven't seen yet, but I am told they age at an excessive rate.

Hyexistenzz: oh. that is a shame. but if one really wanted to join gatewood, to commit themselves to the study and the commitment, could one be cursed so that they could stay there?

Sladius: I would have to ask Father, but I'm not sure why anyone would WANT to be cursed.

Hyexistenzz: yes, the word doesn't have a pleasant connotation, but i still don't really understand what it means to be cursed

Sladius: It means never being able to leave, to live a normal life on the outside, to explore new places, and of course not knowing wether or not you will die if the curse is not lifted.
Sladius: Please excuse me, I have to be on my way. Divination starts in a few minutes, but I will be back later.
Sladius: It was great talking to you!
