From the online chat at the 10 minute mark of the goodman video:

Quote:
did u give any1 my email?
no y?

i got these messagez
what kind of messages?

numbers
### s ??

never mind

The girl's voice reciting numbers in the background come up three times in the video - they keep repeating a sequence from the screenshot above, but from different starting points. So far it seems to be:

13 71 32 35 72 67 26 13 84 15 21

Here's an audio cut of all three instances:

Codes and letters
from the video

I thought the sign language was this -

TLEGOD (S) TLEGOD

Looked like there was a quick flash of a hand signal where bracketed ()

The numbers I got in the repeating sequences were;

35 72 67 96 13 84 15 21 38 - seemed like it kept repeating this, were there really any others?

The single line of numbers seemed to be:

21 15 96 (72?) 84 13 35 (38?) 67 - which seemed to be the same numbers as before, therefore I guessed the two semi-unintelligible ones in brackets

9 numbers? Same as Dominated (9 letters)?

There was also a flash of three icons, looked like a fingerprint, tablets and a key;

End screen seemed to be NEON HAZE ROT, which sounds very anagram-y!

Ru_Mi909 seemed to use two screen names, that one and RuMi_909

Finally, all that fraternity stuff, might be useful that he said it was founded in the 1850's and that the college team was the Rhinos (only team I could find was pro - Rochester Rhinos, and the fraternity at that college was wrong...)

has anyone noticed that 3 days ago someone named Walt142 posted a comment for one of the youtube videos and the same day someone named Walt254 posted a comment for one of the videos on the jumpcut site? he joined jumpcut on the 11th and youtube around the 8th. probably just a coincidence, but who knows.

youtube comment:

jumpcut comment:
http://www.jumpcut.com/view?id=4A43D6D286EC11DBBABA5A856F9CC894

also, i believe that thebruce mentioned a page with a post by someone named Walt concerning the videos in response to someone else's post about an internet serial killer ..here (near the bottom of the page):

Hi everyone. I'm pretty new, and I have been lurking for a day or so and I decided to jump into this one. I don't know how much help I will be but I thought I would give it a shot.

I e-mailed Eddie and he was pretty quick with a response. He also left me quite a few links, the same links some of you have been getting from him in e-mails. I'm going to check them out and then see if I can find anything.

Quote:
Do you mind if I ask what is in all of those boxes? Did someone leave them on your doorstep?

that's pretty much it. a small package with a disk (and that "invite")
i watch a warehouse, so doorstep is a bit high-class for what i've got

Do you have any idea who sent you the invitiation and the disk? Does someone want something from you? Is all this even real? Sorry for the questions, I am just trying to figure everything out so I can maybe help you.

real? you know, i really doubt it, all my enemies are back in the sandbox, so it's probably a really ****** up joke (sorry)

Edit: changed spoiler to quote, removed extra blank lines and removed expletive - Rowan

another weird thing:

I am assuming he looked me up on Google, since I gave him my AIM addy, but he referred to me by a username I use on other sites, which I thought was a little weird. Kinda gave me the willies, honestly. I am sure he is just being resourceful though.

untitled-4
letters on disk?

Looks like there might be some letters actually on the disk in the image of the invitation on the site. Don't really have the necessary graphics tools to see them all, but there is definitely a couple of "O's, a V and an S

- Quite literally "Open access.txt file on disk" from the invite?

Tips on spoilers: Spoilers should only be used for puzzle solves or some other type of specific information that will make someone exclaim 'That totally ruined it for me!!' Email conversations and discussions about what is or is not included in the video do not need to be spoilered. In fact, it makes it more difficult to digest all of the available information because you constantly have to go back and hover your mouse over the spoiler space instead of just glancing at the page.

Obviously, it is a bit of a judgment call. But if you can answer 'No' to the qusetion 'Is what I'm about to post going to completely ruin the puzzle/game for someone else?' - then it is safe to not spoiler the information.

Okay! So I finally got the Chinese characters in the Malaysian Girl's segment translated (to the best of my ability) It likely sounds a little stiff but here goes... Oh! And I did a transcript of what she says...that way it flows a bit better...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
During the girl's monologue it says "Beautiful, Good Secret"

When the girl says she's going to make a video diary for her parents, the writing says "Why?". After she explains that she wants to be an actress the writing says something like "You have a certain role you like?" and something about a 'breakout??'.

Then the next scene (after the grey screen with text messages) the writing asks "What do you know then?". When she asks if she should be worried about not getting a call back it says "No. No need to give up". It then asks "How's your job?" When she gives thanks for the help with the monologue it says "My Pleasure".

The final scene starts with the writing asking "Where is your friend?" or "Is your friend in your room?" She says 'I think she's out somewhere', to which the writing says "She frequently is". When she gets up to check the door it says repeatedly "Don't go".

And that's it! WOW! That was LONG!

from that composite of screen captures, now I see it as either:

_ T L S G O D E T L S G O D
or maybe
_ T L M G O D E T L M G O D

It will help to find the exact font or glyph set they've used -- i've searched but can't find it. The "E" is very modern (or west coast, i'm not sure) in how the first two fingers are perched on the thumb, higher than the two smaller fingers. Most charts show all 4 fingers held evenly across the thumb.

It looks like Gallaudet font for Mac - can be found here

Unfortunately, I don't have a mac

Bitmap version of the letters

Hand orientation is wrong for M's & N's which make it very difficult. Also the G is reversed, it is as the signer would see it, not as the person tey were "talking" to would see it

P.S. 'Mongo', how did you find the invitation without the tear???

The picture with the tear is 'untitled-4.jpg', so I figured there could be a 1,2 and 3

Yep, I'll agree with that - went through every possible frame of the number sequences and hex and finally saw the trailing numbers in the hex. Tried arranging them for decimal, hex, and octal - checked for modded alphabet, and even tried making it into an ip address. no dice...

Only 3 frames of it - all I could come up with is "Another Zone". Tried ROT and reverse ROT for "Neon Haze" with no luck, and also tried de-anagram-ing "Bristel Goodman" but that about drove me mad...
