 [INTERACTION] Elliot J Hurst
confirmed in game by Nancy

I was contacted by an Elliot J Hurst and I have been hesitant to post for fear that it may be a gamejacker. But just in case it's not here is the aim.
Nancy's blog confirms Mr. Hurst as being in game.

Quote:
Elliot J Hurst (2:08:38 PM): It is imperitive that you understand the depth of the situation, friend.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:09:08 PM): what situation

Elliot J Hurst (2:09:58 PM): Why, they very situation you have all been pulled into. Being the good samaritan, helping those who have been so unfortunatley... damned.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:10:21 PM): ok, help me to understand

Elliot J Hurst (2:11:44 PM): A young girl received you help, when she desperatley needed it. Her home was invaded, and now she realizes how important it is to have friends like you. And to think it all started with a young girl, too.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:12:42 PM): can i ask who you are, and what young girl are you referring to

Elliot J Hurst (2:17:00 PM): I am someone you can count on. The young girl was strong, her father a huntsman. Armed with her father's hunting knife; she managed to hold her grandmother down long enough to see the cause of her fever, as she was deathly ill. It wasn't her grandmother's fault what had happened, but a curse brought on by her father's own doings. She was sent out alone, in the wilderness, but an innocent girl in a red coat, and came back a warrior.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:18:12 PM): wow, i haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about but tell me more

Elliot J Hurst (2:22:56 PM): You knew how all of this came to be when you were but a child, as well. Our parents told us the story, thier parents told it to them. It has been diluted much over time, and it has been made to tell as a fairy tale to our young. The truth of the matter is, it is the roots of what happened to Gatewood. The only thing that has been left out is the source: The first sacrifice, a wolf that was trying to fend for her young. A huntsman found her coat a fine addition to his collection, but all she wanted was survival. Huntsman, woodsman, father... they can change it as much as they'd like to change the story, but the beast that HIS own mother became because of it was his own doing. The little girl in the red coat was the real warrior.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:28:07 PM): that's very interesting, can you tell me who the little girl in the red coat is/was? And how was it "HIS own doing" that his mother became a beast and what sort of beast. And are you referring to Canine's mother?
Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:28:21 PM): sorry for so many questions, but i need to know

Elliot J Hurst (2:32:17 PM): It's quite alright. This happened long before Gatewood became what it is. The huntsman's mother, the young girl's grandmother, became a symbol in fables, a wolf in sheep's clothing. The young girl was a blue-eyed child, born feet-first on the night of St. John's Eve, giving her second sight. She knew the woods well, and her grandmother had fallen deathly ill after the huntsman had done his evil deed. Why did this all happen you ask? That answer is simple. It was in the stars.

Elliot J Hurst (2:37:23 PM): All he wanted was the wolf's coat, a mother wolf, for a silly collection. But this wolf was special, this wolf was the one wolf in all of the forests in all of the world that God had not wanted to die. It was not however God wish to step in, the positions of the stars just wanted this all to be. When the little girl's grandmother fell ill, it is how the curse began. A special creature of God the mother wolf was, and the curse ensured that a human would have to walk in it's "paws" so to speak.

Elliot J Hurst (2:37:57 PM): And why was this mother wolf so special? It was God's first creature who knew how to love.

Elliot J Hurst (2:38:06 PM): Next to man, that is.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:38:42 PM): that's a lot of info to digest, thank you, and is there anything else i need to know

Elliot J Hurst (2:40:37 PM): Yes. The Mother Wolf is who they worship, the people of Gatewood. They call her "Him". It's funny how people make things so masculine, and then find out later that God is a female.

Sylviaaaaaaaa (2:40:55 PM): wow

Elliot J Hurst (2:41:15 PM): Thank you for listening, I will be in touch again. Oh, and Nancy may have new information that could help.

Help me to understand, please! In layman's terms that i can understand.

Going out of my mind. What am i talking about, I already lost it.

What i *think* Elliott is saying is that the "fairy tale" of little red riding hood has roots in a real story. There was a (for lack of a better term) sacred she-wolf that was killed by a hunter(the girl in the red hood's father), that she-wolf, somehow possessed the grandmother of the real little red riding hood & that was the beginning of the Lupeus Curse. The little girl was born with psychic abilities, due to her breach birth & being born on St. John's Eve.

Gatewood worships the She-wolf, even though the call it a Him & The Great One.

Remember, Gatewood has one member who can travel between our world & Gatewood because his mother was slain and her blood mixed with the blood of a sacrifice that crossed the boundaries of Gatewood. It appears that that person is Caine.

We now have Ashton's blog!

Quote:
MountainGirlXD: Greetings
Elliot J Hurst: Hello there.
MountainGirlXD: How are you this fine evening?
Elliot J Hurst: I am quite well, and yourself?
MountainGirlXD: I'm doing great. I just got home from a party celebrating the holidays
Elliot J Hurst: Ah, the holidays. A wonderful time for celebration. Perhaps one of the very few, to my dismay.
MountainGirlXD: How true.
MountainGirlXD: Will you be visiting with your family this season?
Elliot J Hurst: Unfortunatley not. I do not have the luxury of having friends or family.
MountainGirlXD: I'm sorry, I was under the impression you had a son.
Elliot J Hurst: I had a son, once. That was a very long time ago, in Vallejo, California.
MountainGirlXD: Were you teaching there? Sylvia told me we'd have a lot in common, because I'm a teacher, too.
Elliot J Hurst: Yes, I was in fact a teacher, although I have been told not a very good one. I taught a 10th grade literature class, moved to a substitute teaching position, and well, the rest is history.
MountainGirlXD: Let me guess, did they consider you a heretical teacher? All of us that seem to go beyond the normal "sit in your seat and shutup" scope of teaching seem to be labeled as such.
Elliot J Hurst: Indeed, like socrates, they claimed I was corrupting the students with my "opinions".
MountainGirlXD: How sad. Sometimes I'm astounded at the ignorance of those in our profession. I don't mean to be nosy, but what happened to your son? I can't imagine losing my daughter.
Elliot J Hurst: He had what I could only describe as an "overload". He became obsessed with the positions of the stars, various ciphers and things of the sort. His mind had come undone.
MountainGirlXD: Was he a gifted child?
Elliot J Hurst: Very gifted. I believe he may have even had a son of his own, by I fell slave to the bottle, and retreated to more solitary grounds.
MountainGirlXD: Where?
Elliot J Hurst: To this current location, just outside a town called Townsend, in South Georgia. The silence is almost loud at times. Have you ever experienced such a thing?
MountainGirlXD: Yes, I even wrote a poem about it
MountainGirlXD: The silence is killing me, eating away at me, it's so loud I want to scream, "Let me out of this violent void!" If it doesn't go away, I will.
MountainGirlXD: Cheesy, huh?
Elliot J Hurst: Not at all.
MountainGirlXD: Do you or your son write?
Elliot J Hurst: No. I do not know of his whereabouts, ever since he left home in the 1970's.
MountainGirlXD: That must be very difficult. What makes you think he has a son of his own?
Elliot J Hurst: He was with a girl, that is, when he lived at home. She gave birth to a baby boy from what I remember. They were having trouble communicating, but she decided to have the child.
MountainGirlXD: Have you ever seen the boy?
MountainGirlXD: Oh, I meant to ask you, do you remember a student by the name of Nancy Stevenson?
Elliot J Hurst: Nancy. I remember her very well.
MountainGirlXD: You made a wonderful impact on her. She even wrote a poem about you.
Elliot J Hurst: Is that so?
MountainGirlXD: Yes. She remembers you telling the class your name was "A Friend."
MountainGirlXD: when asked
MountainGirlXD: Sylvia tells me you have some interesting analysis of Little Red Riding Hood.
MountainGirlXD: What do you know of Gatewood?
MountainGirlXD: are you still there?
Elliot J Hurst: Yes, I'm sorry. A bit of computer trouble.
MountainGirlXD: I can relate to that.
Elliot J Hurst: I have never heard of Gatewood.
MountainGirlXD: really? Our mutual friend said you spoke of it to her.
Elliot J Hurst: How well can I trust you?
MountainGirlXD: Yes.
MountainGirlXD: sorry I read that wrong.
MountainGirlXD: I am quite trustworthy.
MountainGirlXD: Teachers must stick together.
Elliot J Hurst: I agree...
Elliot J Hurst: The story of Little Red Riding Hood is not just a fable. Like Many stories of the bible today, It has roots of truth. The people of Gatewood know it very well. I know about Gatewood only through dreams. I believe it to be a very real place, that is currently held in very real danger.
Elliot J Hurst: A very long time ago, a mother wolf was killed by a huntsman, this wolf was very special. She possessed the human element, emotion. It was an experiment that God wished to perform on the world, and God herself was very much a part of this mother wolf. Fending for her young, she was caught by surprise by the huntsman, and killed for her coat. God became very angry with what man had done, and put a curse among the mother of the huntsman, who was also the grandmother of the young girl in the red coat.
Elliot J Hurst: The curse came swiftly, at night, during the full moon, when the power of God was at its peak.
Elliot J Hurst: But the youg girl was strong, and challenged God herself with this act. She killed what her grandmother had become, but it did not break the curse. Occult influences, due to the thirst for power only made things worse.
MountainGirlXD: I see
Elliot J Hurst: It was later that a man, a traveller, with many others, came to the new world. They followed in the footsteps of the huntsman, and the curse was reborn, tenfold.
Elliot J Hurst: So you see, this time, it will not be so easy to break a curse as to a child killing a Werewolf, for lack of a better term.
MountainGirlXD: I must ask you, Elliot, have you ever heard of the Sons of Loki?
Elliot J Hurst: No I have not, in all honesty, but I don't like the sound of the name.
MountainGirlXD: I, too, believe Gatewood exists. In fact, I have heard of a few who claim to live and study there.
MountainGirlXD: How did you learn of Gatewood?
Elliot J Hurst: I have only dreamed of it, but those dreams seemed so real.
MountainGirlXD: I fear for mankind, Elliot. How would we stop such a thing?
MountainGirlXD: I have been informed of only one way.
MountainGirlXD: If what I have been told is true.
Elliot J Hurst: Follow your heart. And in your search for heaven, make sure that you do not find hell.
MountainGirlXD: My friends and I are searching for five pages that will aid
MountainGirlXD: in saving mankind.
MountainGirlXD: We have been told your son may hold one of these pages.
Elliot J Hurst: My son? I don't even know where he is, or even HIS son, or if they're even alive.
MountainGirlXD: If he, or your grandson are in possession of it, they could be in grave danger from the group I mentioned before (The Sons of Loki)
MountainGirlXD: Do you know your grandson's name? Is your son's name Ashton?
Elliot J Hurst: I am a tired, broken old man. I don't know what good could possibly come out of my actions. And my son's name was Arthur.
MountainGirlXD: Elliot, I wonder....Are you in possession of the page?
Elliot J Hurst: I don't know about any page. Believe me, I would assist a fellow mentor any day.
Elliot J Hurst: Be sure that you tread lightly along the path that you are taking. This is not a game, toying with unknown people and forces beyond your comprehension in such a fashion as you may be doing. Tread lightly.
Elliot J Hurst: in your search for these pages, it could have the reflex of an apocalypse. Don't bring that here.
MountainGirlXD: I'm trying, but I knoW it won't be easy. If tHe sOns of loki are on our heels
MountainGirlXD: "Reflex of an apocalyps?"
Elliot J Hurst: The sons of loki, whoever they ae, sound very dangerous. They could have very evil prospects, evil intentions.
Elliot J Hurst: I must go, but I will contact you again soon.
Elliot J Hurst signed off at 12:37:09 AM.

I know this is out of order, but I want to preserve the info in the locked threads so i will copy what is important to the appropriate threads. And as this is the confirmation from Nancy that Elliot J Hurst was in game I copied it here.

Dear Mr. Hurst

I so miss my high school days now. Remember the one teacher you had? That one teacher that either stashed a bottle in his desk, or was the one teacher the faculty always spread rumors about? Yeah, I had one too.

Ode to Mr. Hurst

It was a warm day in California, as it usually is. I was in 10th grade at the time, staying with my cousin Matt, who now lives in Oregon. I was having trouble keeping my grades up in Chicago, so my dad sent me to live with Matt.

Mr. Hurst was a fine teacher, he was always thinking outside the box. His son was a bit odd though, and I remember overhearing another teacher say that the Hurst kid was adopted. Apparently, the kid was a genius, always solving riddles and puzzles and things of that nature. It was said that the kid could crack any military code. Unfortunatley, the kid snapped in the late 70's and had a slew of emotional disorders, but the rumors and talk about the poor kid followed Mr. Hurst to every school he taught for.

I can remember Mr. Hurst reading us fairy-tales and interpreting them symbolically. This proved to be too much for the rest of the staff, and the school deemed him "unfit" for teaching. What the hell kind of crap is that? Sure, some of his ideas were a bit unacceptable, but that's hardly a reason to fire someone. He wasn't just a teacher, he was a mentor to lots of kids. I just happened to think about all this whaen I got that weird email today. The first day of class, he started teaching, when most teachers would introduce themselves first. I raised my hand and asked, "Um, what do we call you?" to which he picked up a small piece of chalk, and wrote in beautiful cursive on the blackboard, "A Friend."

[CHAT] 12/30

Long chat, He went over the Red Riding Hood Story again and after being told what the Lupeus Documant said, he gave us his impressions.

Quote:
Elliot J Hurst: hmmmm.....
Elliot J Hurst: yes, I'm perplexed by the contents of this story...
Elliot J Hurst: A doctor,
Elliot J Hurst: refered to as a Woodman,
Elliot J Hurst: how ironic it should relate to the woodman of the girl in red,
Elliot J Hurst: befriends a man whom he puts much trust into,
Elliot J Hurst: but this man may have decieved the woodman,
Elliot J Hurst: and decided to take his own path,
Elliot J Hurst: after gaining all he needed to execute his intentions.
Elliot J Hurst: Hmmm...
Elliot J Hurst: Matt 7:15... do not forget this lesson.

Tipsila thinks that this is referring to Dr. W. Robert Woodman - which give a connection to Aleister Crowley

Well, Hurst repeatedly mentioned in his chat
Quote:
Elliot J Hurst: The best weapon one can have against any entity or army,
Elliot J Hurst: is the concept of Love being the prime element.
tipsila 1: Virgil
Elliot J Hurst: It is when this element is forgotten that dark forces can manifest from out of nowhere.
Elliot J Hurst: Such is the importance in many of those existences of the Dew.
OriginalRedHatty: the Dew?
Elliot J Hurst: Yes, the dew of the seas. It is what breathes life and understanding into all.
......
Elliot J Hurst: The third destruction was like a domino effect to what exists now, human abilities lost, technology and power over inanimate objects grew.
Elliot J Hurst: The Pink Fairy Book may shed some light on what you wish to know as well,
Elliot J Hurst: if I could only remember where I keep it now..
OriginalRedHatty: By Andrew Lang?
tipsila 1: i found it online
tipsila 1: what story?
Elliot J Hurst: The one which references the dew, perhaps.

Well, there is no actual mention of DEW in the stories, but 'dew of the seas' is Rosemary and oddly enough the story The Sprig of Rosemary is a tale of how true love can overcome all.

In discussions with Tips this afternoon, she remembered Aruis telling us about Sladius being upset due to being teased about missing a question on a test regarding the herb, so I sent him an email with the story. Now we'll wait and see what comes (if anything) from that.
