Well, the possible reason for the last name being different is that according to Nancy's Blog

The boy was a genius and snapped in the late 70's, which would make him *roughly* late 20's, to early 30's in age. His ability to solve puzzles and codes I believe is important in finding him - although I am Cursing

trying to find him.

I do however bring some good news.

Arius is doing very well. A suggestion by one of the people outside brought Father Weston to check about his entire body for marks. He concluded that there were in fact no visible marks that would have been caused by the Lougarou.

Father Enoch is also doing much better. He projects that it is only a matter of days before he comes back on in full health.

Gatewood is currently under maximum alert, so those of you who ABSOLUTLEY NEED to travel about buildings to and fro, especially at night, you are required to have a minimum of 2 people with you, and one must be over the age of 25. This is ordered by Father Enoch himself.

ETA: Am I delusional in my insomnia this early morning, or did every one of the blogs that Arius posted in the interim between Enoch and Sladius disappear? I was looking for something and noticed that they seem to have been omitted. It goes from Enoch saying that Arius will be taking over while he is ill, straight to Sladius.... Please tell me if I am imagining things Shocked

The cross within a circle sounds a bit like what's known as a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_cross. One of the other names for it appears to be 'Odin's Cross' which certainly fits into the theme of the game.
