Our gardens did not flood, and we lost no harvest due to the time of year.

There seems to be a constant silence right now in Gatewood, but do not be fooled, it is an unsettling disconcertion of peace in disguise. The Omeae must be drawing near, and I expect many more signs of it shall surface.

Congratulations Brother Sladius.

I would like to publicly congratulate Brother Sladius on the successful completion of his divination exam. It had fortunately found it's way through a severe storm with timing that could not have been more perfect.

Parasomnumancy is perhaps one of the most difficult types of divination to master, however it is also one of the most rewarding, as not everyone is able learn it with many moons of study and practice.

Those of you who pass him in your travels, please wish him well, as I am sure he will be catching up on some much needed rest soon thereafter.

Here is what he was able to alucinize from his surroundings under such grueling conditions. He began the Parasomnumancy ritual on the 25th night of December. His interpretation began on the 27th night of December.

"I see inside the trunks of those trees over there, a man. He... feels as though he is of good intentions... but... he becomes encased by the flesh of the serpent."

"Up there, upon the treetops... can you see that? A towering palace, no, a friendly castle, almost suredly doomed. It looks as if it has not future at all, lifeless."

"The grass... I can even smell it now! Do you smell it? Just like the Dew of the seas!"

His calculations based upon these interpretations:

"A man dares to wear the serpent's flesh, he's not slowed a bit by his inquisitiveness. He strikes fear into all who lay eyes on him, but there is one standing there with him, a girl. She smells like the dew and stands to the flesh..."

"No, she and the man willingly removed this serpent's flesh from it's spot, and it will give them grief. They didn't do this for offense or vengeance, just curiosity... still it feels as if this kind man was very much unaware of the circumstances of this curiousity."

"This serpent's flesh will mark the beginning of something, as well as the end. Wait... he can smell her, a familiar smell, the dew, and he remembers. Not at first, but perhaps just... It changes father... it is very difficult to draw a definite conclusion."

Brother Sladius has experienced a most typical conclusion in divination, as many of the divining are sometimes connected to that which they seek to know an outcome, therefore based upon the divining's constant knowledge of that which is to come, the outcome will also change, infinitely. It is The Law of Ca-jhos, the ever flowing responses to interaction that were first brought into existence by The Great One.

Much confusion in the way of technology.

Gatewood is still in its primitive stages of technology so it seems. Much confusion has been afoot due to our crude understanding of this new technology.

Many of you outside of these gates have expressed concern over our well-being, and we humble ourselves greatly in reflection of your concerns. It is quite comforting to know that so many of you care so much about us here.

Monday, the first of January

A ritual was held, and several rites of protection were performed in light of the terrible events of last year. We performed these rituals in hopes of order and peace in this new year.

Tuesday, the second of January

The people of Gatewood underwent preparations for a celebration in His name to be performed on the third day.

Wednesday, the third day of January

A celebration was held in worship to the Great One. Following the celebration, we prayed for the safe return of our beloved brothers and sisters, and prayed for those who have left us due to evil circumstances. We hope that the Great One will answer our prayers, and prevent any further grief from falling upon us.

The celebration was not filled with happiness as we would have wished, but rather thankfulness and humility; the gift of life that we still have.
