LIVE MEET AT FORT MATANZAS

I'm Red, Your play by play announcer Wink

Teri called at 8:30 EST to let me know, she is on the way to Fort Matanzas! The first ferry leaves at 9:30 EST & she hopes to catch it . She is about 45 minutes out . They are on the ferry! She has Balloons (Ravelos), A wrapped gift (Souzas), A Cupcake/Cake with candle (Williams/Freemonts) and a pinata (Garcias) with her. And her hubby is going too - Yay!!! Hubby!!!

She is aware that she will still have a scavenger hunt to do to find the Will & the Heirloom. She will send me the first pic when they get to the ferry & I will post on my flickr site

She will send pics of the Fort as they get closer!

She made the 1st ferry, got to the Fort, but OH NO!!!! No-one is there, the picnic benches are at the parking lot on the other side of the ferry ride!!! She is not sure what to do next! They are gonna take a look around & see if they can find a tree with "jewels" hanging from it!

OH NO! She didn't even need to take the ferry! But, the captain, who normally wouldn't return until after the 45 minute tour, is gonna take her back in a few minutes - isn't that wonderful! Go Captain!!!

She called Taylor, she knows what happened & she will be there in about 10 minutes - all is well, Taylor is holding back the ghosts now

Got to the right side, found the will will has a pic & a necklace with it. The Jewels go to the one with the most spirit. The pic says "This goes Xtrava, you are like him, go to the pier" and off to the pier

There are different color jewels at each clue stop!

Next clue - For Rowan, find outdoor jail-like window by visitor center - done

Clue 3 - for Lelepooh, go to the restroom before heading out (pic of a girl in a skirt, girl's restroom)

Clue 4 - For Rogi, pray and hike. Look for thrialhead near handicap.

At trailhead, clue 5 - For AngBa - now hike

At split in trail they find the next clue - for Red Garcia, find Aunt Anna's ashes (there is a big jar of them). Find when she was here in the logbook and spread ashes there.

Off to log book - discovery - there is something in the ashes, but we won't know what until they can be spread! Taking a hike back - almost off the path

Another discovery - something red in the tree that taylor was in

At the log book, we get a little help from Aunt Anna's flickr - look at the day she died, so on 11/1 they find Anna's log in, and instructions to take the 11:30 ferry to the Fort - so back to the fort they go!

A little confusion after the log book, do the ashes go here, by the log book, or at the fort, at the portal, so a call is placed to Taylor & we now know that the ashes will be scattered at the portal. We also know that Taylor will be riding the ferry with Teri & her hubby.

The ashes are scattered, a note in with them says to ask Taylor about her dream.

Quote:
I had a strange dream. Aunt Anna was telling me that we are all vessels and each of us a ghost too. We carry part of those who have passed within us. Aunt Anna has been between world since she passed & by spreading her ashes at the portal, we have allowed her to pass over and be at peace in the afterlife. I also saw many strange animals in my dream. Many endangered species. Aunt Anna tells us we need to stay connected to our family members, so we don't become an endangered species.

Now it's Party Time! A yankee swap and a pinata & a little bit of cake!

We have succeeded in keeping the ghosts from boredom & have let Aunt Anna enjoy her afterlife without worry! Great Job Everyone!

I will be posting both here and at LGFL but it should be the same thing on both. I will continue to update this post, so check back often! - Done now!

Thanks go out to Rowan Souza for getting the walk-through up to date & sending in her challenge pieces to Rogi Ravelo, who also gets thanks for having all the families' stuff all together so very nicely & sending to me, Thanks to AngBa Williams who came in under the wire to get the Williams / Freemonts ready for the meet, to Taylor Garcia for all her work & to Aunt Anna Ravelo for putting this all together.

Congrats, guys... didn't play, but lurked, cause I don't live in the south and had no hope of location trials. I thought for a while the ghosts were going to take over the world... thank god for Teri!

[OT] Lawn Games for Life PM

I met the PM of this game at a IGDA picnic last Sunday. She is a game designer with a well-known and respected company here in New York. We had a good talk about ARGs....or do I mean CF? She said one of the reasons she made this game was because she was traveling and wanted a community to travel with her. Sweet idea, right?

She is great and I hope we see more of her work around soon.

I hope so, too.
Lawn Games was fun. Definitely chaotic at times, but something we could use more of around here.
We were probably a little too hard on her at times, but she toughed it out.
She whouldn't have to go solo. Wink
