Still Free! Psychic Readings
(No past experience required)

I thought I'd post this here, as not many new people would look in the Archives, but yeah, SF!PR is coming!

A few days back I found THIS in a blog from a character in the previous game, saying that the only known survivor of the PhoenixFire Corp. building fire, Victor M. Stucerese, had inherited all the millions that the company made. With this money he decided to start a new company "Ashes to Ashes" to continue the work of Jakob Plessing, and this morning I recieved this email:
Quote:
EDIT: Forgot to add the address I got it from Razz
From: "Victor Stucerese" ashestoashesinc [at] hotmail [dot] com
Valued Friend,

We wish to inform you that, effective January 1st, 2007, the PhoenixFire
Corporation will no longer exist. Due to the tragic fire last November that
claimed the lives of most PhoenixFire Corporation employees, the company is
closing.

As you have probably heard, Victor M. Stucerese (the former head of Customer
Service at the PFC) survived the fire. Although badly injured, he has been
very eager to continue working towards a universal acceptance of the
metaphysical world. As such, he has formed his own company dedicated to the
same goals and the work of Jakob Plessing. This company is called Ashes to
Ashes, a fitting name if ever there was one.

A web site for Ashes to Ashes, Inc. is now under construction, and we
encourage you to visit it once it becomes available to the public. A link
will be posted on www.phoenixfirecorporation.tk.

We thank you for your continued support of our efforts to promote all things
metaphysical.

-Jane Sandyston
-Ashes to Ashes, Inc.

The game is scheduled to start on the 1st of January according to the time remaining link on the PM's page on this game (which also has a little bit of info).

So yeah, up until January 1st we may see some minor updates, so keep a eye out!

January 1 may be the starting date, but updates are already taking place

Ashes to Ashes, Inc
A tragic fire struck the headquarters of the PhoenixFire Corporation in November, and because all but one of our employees perished, the PhoenixFire Corporation is closing officially on January 1st of 2007. Victor M. Stucerese, the only surviving employee, has started his own company with the money left over from the PFC, called Ashes to Ashes, Inc. You can find their website at http://www.ashestoashes.328.to . We urge you to continue to support Jakob Plessing's vision of a universal acceptance of psychics.

and from there you can get to here

I didn't check for puzzles. I am sick and have had a bad day. So, you guys can do that.

Not sure if the site was part of the first game

Because I didn't play it.
But, if this is a new site, on the history page in the part that says Jakob on his death bed there are gray letters spelling out Jakob's Journal. Tried changing the URL but that didn't work, at least not at that site.

If this is part of the other game, sorry!

also, there are three possible AIM's:
mandytooley
alexandercarey
ibearpalls

Good eye, but...

Jakob's journal is something we found in the first game. It may be used again, who knows.

Also, for anybody wanting info on F!PR visit the archive here and read some of the posts especially the "story so far" thread which is not complete but still has a lot of good information.

(13:49:23) Ruukari: When I lost people I knew...
(13:51:11) IBearPalls: yeah, but more money means more beer for the gettogethers

I too had a little chat with IBearPalls. Nothing too eventful, save for one part where I think I made Alex squirm in his seat a little bit ...

Enjoy!

[13:13] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Heh
[13:13] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: It was quite interesting
[13:13] ibearpalls: that was the same dude who was in The Lost Room, right?
[13:14] ibearpalls: now THAT rocked.
[13:14] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: I think the whole concept of .. well .. that word you don't like ... was just an overlay for a disfunctional family story
[13:14] ibearpalls: Neutral
[13:15] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: ?
[13:15] ibearpalls: never mind
[13:15] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Ooookay Smile
[13:16] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Well I was assuming you don't like to talk about death all that much
[13:16] ibearpalls: you know, you might not think so, but gravedigging's a great place to meet chicks
[13:16] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Well not when it isn't work related
[13:16] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Oh the jokes I could make Smile
[13:16] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: But yeah
[13:17] ibearpalls: yeah

[13:17] ibearpalls: no no no
[13:17] ibearpalls: I'm not like that, dude
[13:17] ibearpalls: I mean, women gravediggers
[13:17] ibearpalls: not women who lost their daddies or husbands
[13:17] ibearpalls: lol
[13:17] ibearpalls: geez, what kind of sicko do you think I am?
[13:17] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Heh, at least we stayed away from necrophelia humor
[13:17] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Well played
[13:18] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: But no, I didn't know there was an abundance of women gravediggers
[13:18] ibearpalls: oh yeah
[13:18] ibearpalls: much more than you'd think
[13:18] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Ahhh, Ashes to Ashes site is scheduled to go up soon as well?
[13:19] ibearpalls: it's up
[13:19] ibearpalls: but not done

[13:21] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: So how did you get into your profession?
[13:22] ibearpalls: my dad
[13:22] ibearpalls: he ran a funeral parlor for a while
[13:22] ibearpalls: and he, like, made me work out so I could be strong enough to carry the coffins
[13:22] ibearpalls: and i just, like, never stopped
[13:22] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: How long have you been doing it?
[13:23] ibearpalls: since I was 18
[13:23] ibearpalls: so... 9 years
[13:24] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: That's alot of dug graves
[13:24] ibearpalls: uh yeah
[13:24] ibearpalls: no kidding
[13:24] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: So what would you rather be doing?
[13:25] ibearpalls: photography
[13:25] ibearpalls: and NOT forensic photography
[13:25] ibearpalls: that just creeps me out, you know?
[13:25] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Most definitely
[13:25] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Do you do any photography as a hobby?
[13:26] ibearpalls: naah
[13:26] ibearpalls: not really
[13:26] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Ya should
[13:26] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: You have to have SOME free time
[13:26] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Everybody needs a hobby
[13:26] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Helps keep you sane
[13:27] ibearpalls: my hobby is the association
[13:27] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: So take pictures of your gatherings
[13:27] ibearpalls: eh...
[13:27] ibearpalls: I don't know
[13:28] ibearpalls: Manda thinks my photography is stupid
[13:28] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: But she doesn't have to like it Smile
[13:28] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: It's YOUR hobby, right?
[13:29] ibearpalls: yeah...
[13:29] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: My wife hates that I play computer games
[13:29] ibearpalls: well, whatever
[13:29] ibearpalls: what do you do for a living?
[13:29] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: But it allows her time to do what she enjoys
[13:30] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: I work for a Cable, Phone, and Internet provider
[13:31] ibearpalls: that's cool... i think
[13:31] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: It pays the bills
[13:31] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: barely
[13:32] ibearpalls: funness
[13:32] ibearpalls: yeah, gravedigging isn't exactly a CEO position either
[13:32] ibearpalls: but hopefully with the help of Ashes to Ashes we can raise wages...
[13:32] ibearpalls: or something...
[13:32] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Most definitely
[13:33] ibearpalls: Most definitely
[13:33] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: The only thing that boggles me is that the former PhoenixFire Corp had alot to do with metaphysics
[13:33] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: And now the money is being used to fund what appears to be a very non-related profession
[13:33] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Any reason?
[13:34] ibearpalls: the gravediggers' association?
[13:34] ibearpalls: well...
[13:34] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Indeed
[13:34] ibearpalls: ummm..
[13:34] ibearpalls: i don't know
[13:34] ibearpalls: if they want to help that's fine with me!
[13:34] ibearpalls: Razz
[13:34] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: I don't blame ya at all Smile
[13:34] ibearpalls: the PFC helped us too
[13:34] ibearpalls: dunno why...
[13:34] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: I should start a corp and beg them for money Wink
[13:34] ibearpalls: so anyway, I'm gonna go have some lunch
[/size][13:34] ibearpalls: talk to ya later.
[13:34] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Nice meeting you
[13:34] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: We'll talk more, I'm sure

[13:42] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: I'm assuming

[13:49] ibearpalls: people seem to think death is funny
[13:49] ibearpalls: but it's not...
[13:49] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Eh, ya can't take anything too serious in life
[13:49] ibearpalls: but in death everything is serious
[13:50] ibearpalls: ok too much philosophicalness
[13:50] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: It's a serious matter, but being too serious - especially in your profession - can't be good for the mental health
[13:51] ibearpalls: exactly
[13:54] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Hence the GraveDiggers Association
[13:54] ibearpalls: exactly
[13:54] ibearpalls: we try to liven things up
[13:55] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Makes sense
[13:56] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Well listen, I've got to get some work done for now
[13:56] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Gonna be around in a bit?
[13:56] ibearpalls: ok
[13:56] ibearpalls: have fun
[13:56] ibearpalls: i think
[13:56] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: Excellent
[13:56] InSaNiTaRiUm2k6: I'll hit you up
[13:56] ibearpalls: yes, I should be here

DEC 23rd:

Ashes to Ashes, Inc. is proud to announce that a new project will become official on January 1st. Please check back then.

Also, it's kinda weird and totally pointless, but I sware the "pin" on the GDAoU site has moved from the "Try to remember" paper to the top of the "way up high" picture.. Maybe it's just me? :P

Ok im trying to get into this one. I tried the last one but it moved too fast for me to keep up ..I work alot,,,I emailed the guy in charge of the grave diggers association... I was inquireing about becoming a gravedigger ..He told me.

Wabonan, to be a gravedigger you don't really need any experience, per
se. However, you do have to be able to dig a hole, and carry a coffin,
both of which require considerable strength. Also, you can't get
grossed out by dead people. A lot of gravediggers have nightmares at first,
but that all eventually goes away, and you just do your job with a kind
of numb acceptance.

I wouldn't recommend being a gravedigger, to be honest. Try something
else... it HAS to be better than hanging around a cemetery all the
time.

Thanks for emailing!

I weigh 280 and am fit. I can carry a coffin no problem. Dead folk don't jiber jabber to you. I like that. I can watch movies about killing seals while eating ,,nothing groses me out,,, I never have nightmares per se. I do dream alot about killing undead with a pocket knife ..but I always win. I just feel tired, like when Jackie Chan has to stop and rest during a fight... I'm not sure why hanging around a cemitary would be bad...I have alot of loved ones there....Wabonan

Hopefully this will get me in

He wrote me back too. What I wrote him

Well I am a little different from most ppl. That is why I thought it would be a
good idea for a career change. I am glad I got to hear back from you though. I guess
since you don't recommend grave digging, I am going to have to take your word
for it. Although ice cream doesn't seem to be my thing either, considering I
am lactose intolerant. Anyway I hope all is well, and keep up the good work. I still
am interested in the job, but maybe now more wary of the after affects. Smile
Hope to hear from you soon
Andrea

BTW I have Yahoo messenger if you are ever bored, hit me up for a chat: blessed_is_she1018

However I don't think that the comment about dead seals was a good idea though... He is a animal lover and activist. But hopefully we get in.
