Wasted My Guesses, Doh!

Put an 'A' in 'Trout' which was what it said on the previous list.
Oh well, more haste less speed.

Glad this card is out the way now, the gap is now filled.
The answer was much more straightforward than I was thinking,
guess that's often the way.

Can't wait for wave 3 now there are only silvers left,
anyone anyidea when the next cards will be arriving?

Well done again on the solve.

Wahey! Well done Don on the solve. I think I did exactly the same as Fuseunderground by rushing too much for a top 10 spot, and then getting locked out ( Embarassed )!
Good too see that we now have all the non silver cards solved!

Nicely done everyone:)

I had the map on Google Earth, and was about to try pentagon / star of David for 11. Not sure I would have made the jump to David however.

Can we say BLOODY Censored ING BRILLIANT?!

And with that, we can cry in misery at our last silvers with the dignity that they're the only ones bothering us. Very Happy

Got the answer to question 11, finally.

Thank you Angelsk, for posting the guest-map on the forum, cos I wouldn't have had a clue about where to look to find one.

Anyways I used the map that Angelsk linked us to, and the answer is staring out at us, its just a join the dots thing.

Don

I'm glad I could help, just wish I'd seen that sooner!

It's annoying though, they accept

Congratulations donstobbart! I was joining all the dots together around the edges, joining them with everything else to make a 'hypercube' ... all kinds of rubbish!

OK, so I'm trying to enter the solve for this one and I'm told that I'm wrong, so I've checked my spellings etc. against the confirmed solve from Don and I'm apparently still wrong! Any hints?

I've tried:

just in case the case decided to make a difference here!

Thanks for solving this one Don. I would never have got there. I got most of them on my own but 9 and 11 had me stumped so thanks to everyone for letting me get this solved

capital letters don't make a difference and you only need 'trout' not 'a trout'. I'd double check the spelling!

 Bad answers?

Tried to get my own answers for this before going to the forums (I knew I wouldn't get them all myself for this notorious card - I think I got 7 of 'em). Reading through to find the evolving solution was fascinating. Unfortunately, donstobbard's posted answers aren't working for me. I doublechecked spelling, tried a few variations (ROT 13 vs ROT13, etc.) without any luck. Does someone have a definitive list of answers that worked? Is it possible that the accepted answers have changed?

By the way, it was interesting to read, way back in Dec 2005, that Mind Candy was working on a way for the site to let you know which answers you got wrong for multi-answer cards. Guess that didn't work out so well... Wink

I don't remember - try sleeping princess without "the"? Rot-13 with the dash?

To reduce the potential for confusion, now that rdknight figured out what he did...
