Hahaha, Cute Is What We Aim For does an ARG? Now that is something. I hear their music everyday at work. Now here is where I step in with my knowledge of emo music.

I don't think there is any ARG stuff related with this song. The song is about how they are saying like how everyone is a mystery and some people try too hard to figure them out and it causes problems. And no matter what you do, people will always try to figure you out. Even if you give them clues or drops hint, they don't catch your drift. Everyone needs a label according to the people they are talking to.

If you happen to look at the video, it's all spoofs off of popular teen dramas such as the OC and Laguna Beach, all packed full of juicy drama. I think it may help in understanding the song a bit more.

Although I have to say, checking the photos they've taken on their website Journal...some of them seem sort of ARG-ish. Especially the last one. Here is the link. http://www.cuteiswhatweaimfor.com/palebird/

I agree I think this is more like hey you can't see us because we are invisible, Vs. hey this is an ARG. I love this type of music. But it is more like I can't get a date, so I will post it on MySpace. Then it is, Hey we have cool music so we should put it out there by releasing it in an ARG.
