 		Before Vituquest launched recruitment for 6.5, I found the Township Heights site. I sent a feeler email and corresponded a bit with Jay. This probably doesn't hold any useful info, but I thought I'd better post it in case. The mention of the i-cafe may be useful later on.

I just got my Rob Ridge-call! Rock On Unfortunately, the line was terrible, I was way too exticed, and I think they shot him at the end. But yay!

Yes, there was a large "boom" and then the line went flat. It could have been the bad connection, but it was just such a distinctive "boom".

 		well I just signed up, and I work during the day, and I have roommates... so incoming calls will be fun for me, since I don't have a cell phone right now. I let my roommates know, but if there's any phone interaction, I'll be doomed Razz...

You know, someone should create a method for a phone number to connect to an IM service that allows voice communication... I think it would be sweet if someone could call a phone number, and you'd get an incoming voice call on say, MSN messenger, no matter where you may be, as long as you're signed in. If you're not signed in it would go to voicemail. Basically ideally use a laptop like a cellphone, but phone numbers are converted to IM/VOIP...

I'm sure it's been done already, but it needs to be mainstream and/or cheap Razz

anyway back on topic

Edit: never mind... Skype's actually got a beta right now called SkypeIn that does exactly that - a regular phone number people can call that connects to your Skype account... nifty Smile

I just got a really odd call and the phone number came through as 412. I wouldn't say it was me (damn bill collectors) so they just asked again and hung up.

 		504 your area code?

Thought: I just loaded up skype to try it out, and tested calling my home number - the caller ID showed as a local phone #. Perhaps they're using Skype for calling land lines (SkypeOut)
