Torchwood
Torchwood site

Fun to browse. Maybe there's something more here?

that's definitely quite the interface... nicely done.
But ya, not sure what it's for with the limited browsing I did. looks like it might be for a tv show or movie of some sort (some people's pics looked like video snapshots from tv and such)

edit: Yup, looks like a website for the new tv show Torchwood (airing started Oct 22, Ep.3 airs Oct 29). Seems to be a British/BBC show. Inspired by Dr.Who (Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who Smile)

I thought that show was going to be for the cutie who played Captain Jack in the new Dr Who last season?

Yuppers.

Neat site, but not if you are on dialup.

Well, besides the fact that it's a bit of a pain in the butt to navigate to all the different sections on the broadband site, I do like all the little bits of information you get. I especially find the historical documents facinating as they give a little more insight as to what Torchwood has done through the years.

As for the episodes, I loved 'Everything Changes' and 'Day One', probably for the revelations that were revealed in each episode. 'The Ghost Machine' wasnt a bad episode, I just didnt think it was as powerful as the first two.

Well, there's two sites (and two versions of the first).

http://www.torchwood.org.uk is the flash heavy site with the annoying navigation. This is the Torchwood homepage, if you will, with stuff that the mention during the show.

http://www.torchwood.org.uk/html/index.shtml is the html only version of the above. The content is mostly the same, except the flash will have 'video' that the html version doesnt. But some of the pictures are clearer on the html site, so I do look at both.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/index_nonflash.shtml is the BBC Three page of Torchwood that gives you the message 'if you are outside the UK, you are not able to watch the video on these pages'. I'm guessing most of this stuff would be behind-the-scenes ala the Doctor Who BBC pages.

TORCHWOOD

yep. torchwood is here in britain. series has jsut finished. it is spun off doctor who, one of the people are the same...
and YAS! IT IS AWESOME! even better than doctor who you might say...as its a more adult orientated show, as more violence and more in depth stories. Torchwood is as police organisation of 5 people who work with aliens protecting earth lol....so yeah Smile

Did you really think so? Good, but not awesome.

Personally they came across as a bunch of 5 have a go amateurs stuck in a basement in Wales. Any bunch of aliens with the ability to get to the earth could have taken control of what remains of Torchwood in about 10 minutes. Just come with free pizza!

lol. if they did the captain would know and kill them with the alien tech they have...
and lots of people think it is better than doctor who for that fact, it is more realistic and believable, and not all to do with aliens...
