ARG or fiction ? Sorry for interrupting the flow of things..
Is Cathy's book an ARG or fiction with optional website tie-ins ? I.e. is there a story to be uncovered by visiting the websites ?

The main plot can be discovered by reading the book, but it's enhanced by websites/evidence/phone stuff. In other words, you'll understand the world of Cathy's Book (and find the story more interesting) if you look at the sites as you go along (as Cathy discovers them, etc.), but you can get the gyst of the plot by just reading the book. However, you CAN'T get the plot just from websites and stuff, so you HAVE to buy the book.

Just saw this strange little book sitting on the shelves at Target last night (and yes... somehow i missed all the previous discussion here), flipped through and dialed the phone number. Before i knew it, the book had *somehow* /shrugs, jumped into my shopping cart. lol. can't wait to read it.

Between the book and the accompanying evidence, you will eventually get enough information to deduce everyone's access code. Is anyone in particular giving you trouble?

Hm, well... Here are some hints.
You'll find Victor's, as well as his new girlfriend's, in the evidence packet.
Cathy's is hinted at in the narrative, but must be guessed.

So are most of you reading the story first, and then re-reading it and using the clues, or are you using the clues as you read through the book?
I can't decide what to do.
I read almost half of the book when I first bought it from the bookstore where I was working at the time. But then, I was too afraid of loosing something because I was reading it during my breaks, and on the bus, and in public places.
Now I want to start reading the book again, and am starting over since I'm sure I have forgotten some stuff. What should I do?
