Hmm. Word clue or another pic? Words.

It's a bird in a pastry coffin.

Babette's Feast

I was going to guess this at first glance, but for some reason thought we had already used it. It's always my first thought when someone mentions exotic food being in a movie.

Cailles en sarcophages = Quails in coffins

My brain told me that was a quail, and I did try searching on quail, but it never occured to me to call that a coffin. How odd those French are!

(no new movie until i get home from work 8 hours from now)

gah! i got home late and fell asleep early, totally forgot about you guys! sorry, scrambling now)

Yes, catherwood is right. I had two more pics that just would have drawn out the agony because they are not familiar scenes, and then one catherwood would have gotten right away.

another round

Good morning, players. I have picked a movie for you, but as always I am never sure if I am giving you a hard clue or an easy clue. Here's one for starters, and I have a few more shots on hand.

Correct!

May I ask what method you used to figure it out?

Learn something new (I was curious who they were, they looked so familiar, I looked up the movie.). That was Jan Sterling (film noir blonde; stage career as a proper British lady) and Gary Merrill. Did you know Ed McMahon was an actor? He's in this movie. And a young Donna Mills (who was on a very creepy Cold Case last night). Bad guys included 27 year old Martin Sheen, good guys included an equally young Beau Bridges. Jack Guilford and Thelma Ritter too. Ruby Dee and Brock Peters (you may know him from a Star Trek movie) as the black couple.

Yes, it was the familiarity of the actor that spurred me to search for character actors. That is Mike Kellin. From there it's the usual google image search.

OK, next still...

That looks like Mrs. Danvers in Rebecca, but someone already did that movie.
