Only strange thing I can pick up is, in the Vid Eva says she doesn't have a picture of Erwin, yet she did for the posters...

Heh! I didn't notice that. Good point. I think she meant that she didn't have a picture at that particular time while making the video, not necessarily no pictures at all.

In the first post in her blog is an email address. I sent off a quick email offering to help in the cat search.

The home town listed for her on the pet website is Bristol - so hopefully we have a few people in place in case anything real-world is required Wink

Ready and waiting!

Huh. The Coreoutput2 video, minus the "Lost. Erwin." has been uploaded to enter-geist.com.

What's SRI for those of us who aren't British? Did you do a search for Wilson as well? Eva's tutor's name. It would be interesting to see if anything turned up on that end.

Well, I think SRI stands for Stanford Research Institute (www.sri.com).
I wrote an email to Eva, too. As well as an Email to Dr. Robert B. Wilson. We'll see..

Also, I watched the blog video again, and it seems like she knows more than she's letting on... perhaps I'm just misinterpreting her

You could be right about that. The lostyourpet entry was using some very clear ARG-speak "the cat was last seen going down this rabbit-hole" etc.

If she is supposed to have posted this entry herself, then she chose a very cryptic way of doing it - of course, it could just be worded that way for the benefit of any casual browser of that site as a rabbit-hole in its own right.

Right now the line between in-game and OOG isn't too well defined, but we shall see what develops when the second round of Eva emails comes around.

 Core Output

I just got this email that I almost dismissed as spam. It seemed awfully ARGish, and since I am only signed up for Geist, I thought I would post it here.

what are people's ideas on the gaps in the rings at subject180287.net?

EDIT: also, for some reason, this caught my attention in eva mcgill's blog>

Quote:

This time I'm more worried about him than I've ever been before. It was over a week ago, one minute he was in my room trying to jump on top of the book shelf. It's really narrow and piled up with ornaments and magazines and stuff. For some reason he's always trying to get up there and walk across it

you can see the top of the book shelf in the video, althoug its low-res, so zooming in doesn't help.. anyone have any ideas/tech that might be useful?

On the bandwagon

I'm all signed up and caught up on this thread.

I'd actually forgotten I had signed up untill I got the email with the video.

Think I'm gonna email Eva with a couple questions.

Heh, me too. I was trying to figure out the video in reference to another ARG. Then I found the "Licorice Films" eference in whois and remembered oh year, there's another game I was following!

I've seen alot of people mention they [ ONLY ] try to follow one or two games at a time; I guess this is why Embarassed

Left out an imprortant word there!
