Here's what I have so far...as for the remaining tunes or even their "common" names, I really don't know.

1. The Blue Danube, Johann Strauss Jr.
2. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, W.A. Mozart
3. This MIGHT be 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' by Richard Strauss...?
4. ??? (No idea...)
5. Pr�lude from Carmen, Georges Bizet (common name: Les Toreadors, The Toreador Song?)
6. String Quintet in E-Major from op. 13, Luigi Boccherini (common name: Celebrated Minuet?)
7. Sabre Dance from Gayane, Aram Khachaturian

If somebody can fill in the blanks or even submit a correctly phrased answer, please do let us know.

I asked a friend and she thinks #3 might be the Scherzo part from Beethoven's 9th, and #4 might be Chopin's Minute Waltz.

Entering it in as a solve with the "common names" I tried didn't work, though, and I'm running low on credits to continue guessing.

(for Beethoven's 9th, i just wrote "Scherzo", if that's any help)

The high cost of guessing is going to make creating dummy accounts way too tempting. Unless Prestige starts adding credits a lot faster, that is.

EDIT - for anybody who isn't tone-deaf like me, some of the VanishingPoint players used this site http://www.musipedia.org/# to help solve similar puzzles. It might help, at any rate.

Forgive me for being stupid, but I cannot find any resemblance between track 1 and The Blue Danube. Are we sure it is correct?

don't worry about it, but yes we can.

Check http://www.musipedia.org/ and search for the blue danube... it'll give you a sound clip. it sounds pretty on the money to me.

Sorry but I share James' reservations on this one. They do sound similar and I suspect the piece of music we're looking for is probably still a waltz. If you listen to the first few notes though, the notes of The Blue Danube clearly go down where those of our piece go up.

I may have found the correct answer for number one...

Decided to finally get some correct answers and posted a request on a classical music archives forum...

Track one is "Vienna Blood," one of Johann Strauss' most famous Waltzes.

We were right with "Eine Klein Nachtmusik

Also, the last one is definitely Saber Dance.

still waiting to see if anyone else says anything about the others, although i doubt i'm going to get much. The person who has posted so far could only identify 5 separate tracks, not 7, and said the quality was so poor he could barely tell where one ended and the next started.
