We've already put so much thought into this dadgum thread, I'm afraid nothing we think of will sound very cool or organic. How about this - let's take some time off from trying to name ourselves, and wait for the answer to present itself? I have a feeling someone will accidentally say something cool, maybe even a few weeks from now, and when it happens, everyone will just know it's the right word. Everyone's trying so hard to be clever and piquant that it all sounds forced to me right now.
agreed, don't force it let it come naturally

Okay, great idea. Let's just put this issue aside and focus on the actual game itself for now.
(random opinion, please do not beat me to death)
Emphraxis is...kinda hard to pronounce, and a little weird. It's deep, yeah, and I know some thought went into it...but it sounds like someone having a coughing fit.
I'm sorry. Please don't kill me.

OMG That has to be the chapter name "Cooking Toast" (even if that chapter is only a couple of pages)
Thanks King Mob.

How about "NeoCorps-Techs" or " NeoCoreTeks" for a name.
These names are already in use: neocortex. neocortech
It is pun with neocortex.
The neocortex is the outer layer of the brain and it controls higher level processes: such as high level thinking (creative procees- language, logic, artistic expression, etc.) it also in the area that intergrates much of our sensory information.
Neo= new (from Greek neos)
Corps = any body of persons associtated in some common work or interest. (from Latin.corpus, to French)
Tech (Tek) = tech(no)= from Greek techne = art, science, skill

I like the spagetti strap, I'll have to get that for my girlfriend. The funny thing is she won't have a clue why she is wearing it!
(Still too worried about telling her how I have spent my last month on this and the Meta websites, fear of being dumped)
