[MAIL] Erwin Poster + letter from Eva I searched the forum and didn't find it already posted. If it is anything old, you can trout me.
I just got this letter which was sent to me by Royal Mail (air mail).
It contains a poster with Erwin and a note from Eva.
I've added them to this post.
The note is printed on paper with a pattern of the logo of something called The Three Candlesticks 1649 (I think), but you can only see it when you hold it up to the light.

Reference from http://www.kylesociety.org/Kyle_CoatofArms.htm

Interestingly a coin showing the three candlesticks and dated 1649 was found in the remains of the John Dickinson Old Bailey building in London after it was bombed during the Second World War. On the back of the coin there was reference to the Old Bailey indicating that the coin had probably been on that site for almost 300 years. John Dickinson Co., stationers, currently produces a stationary with a watermark of three candlesticks (with lit candles in them) based on the coin.
I would be hesitant that the watermark is relevent, but i'd be hesitant in discounting anything at this stage

The poster says:

He appeared at once all over the globe
I suppose that this does not mean that Erwin was cut to pieces and spread out over the earth.
I've tried googling the sentence (maybe any relationship with Wizard of Oz - Alice in Wonderland?) but couldn't fnd something useful

How exciting! The prediction about getting a picture of a cat in the post was right then! (sorry can't remember who it was)
Out of interest where are you from? Maybe she wants you to put the poster somewhere specific...
In Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire Cat appears in the air at various different places and times...

I'm from Limburg, Belgium. I don't think she wants us to put it up at a specific location, but, like Russell_k said, to advertise the game, since the URL of Eva's blog is on the poster. I guess people will be interested in visiting the website when a poster for a missing cat of an English person is put up around here. I think it's weird that the letter arrived so early. I assumed people from England would be getting it first.

That'll be me ^_^
This is the first ARG that I've actually been able to keep up with, and somewhere at the forefront of too! I didn't expect I'd actually be predicting the next move though. I'm chuffed about that

I think it's just another nod to Schrodinger - the cat was momentarily everywhere (like a particle exists in all of its possible states before it is collapsed into one state by the observer) and then Eva "observed" it out of here into the rabbithole, like... it quantum-collapsed into another universe - that would be equivalent to the experimenter opening the box and finding no cat at all... I think.

I'm not so sure that Schrödinger is meant with that sentence. Schrödinger teaches that a particle can be in two or more states at the same time and that it is only the experimenter (observer) who by making the observation (i.e. opening the box with the cat in it) fixes the state of the particle.
Thus no particle that is present 'all over the globe'.

I believe that the "all over the world" statement is simply a nod towards the fact that the ARG is aimed at an international audience, and also a slight clue to the uninitiated observer, that they will probably start to see this Erwin thing crop up all over the internet and in odd places across the globe (thanks in large part to the posters).
It's viral marketing at its best.

Brilliant. It entertains the existing players, attracts new players, and pushes the story forward all at once.

Mine says F5 on the back. I didn't say that before because I thought it was something that has something to do with the mail system.
