not entirely useless. it was needed to determine the question without which we can't find the answer which by the way could be one of the films on the watershed site

I really like the line of thought that it could be a film Melvin Geist starred in--he's a movie actor, and he's in-game. It totally makes sense. Too bad we have zero leads on what movies he could've acted in. (Whatever they are, they'd all have to be in-game...)
Edit:
I just got an email back from Eva where I commented on Keir Jones. Nothing useful, just that she's not concerned about him.

Hi Redkidk
About this Keir Jones guy - I mean to say, I've been receiving a lot of odd messages recently from strange people who seem to know a lot about me, so one more won't make a difference surely? If he starts to bug me I'll look into it.
Thanks for your help
be seeing you

Maybe we need to imput the answer by enlarging the images in a specific order. I'm just thinking about Myst, and it seems like a puzzle laid out like this, would be solved by manipulating the puzzle itself. The "enter:/***********" suggests that the answer should be submitted through that page. Also when the images are enlarged, they have different sized spaces between them, Maybe that has some significance?
So many baffling things like:
Why have the images rotate?
Why make them change size?
Then again, maybe it's just to make n00bs like me ask questions...

Keir Jones puzzle solve I used the information on Eva's emails with Keir Jones to deduce the solve:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Keir has a thing for Harry Palmer. The first book published featuring Palmer is The Ipcress File . Thinking that I might just have a chance, I typed it in to his website and it worked!

Maybe I missed something, but that doesn't have anything to do with this puzzle.

Maybe we can get more information from him/her about the puzzle.

If you look at this post you will find out the Keri Jones likes Harry Palmer. Do a google search for Harry Palmer movies and you will find out that one of his movies/films was "The Ipcress File. " ipcressfile just happens to be 11 letters. Therefore it answered the main question, "seen any good movies lately?" And that is how it was solved.

My apologies, I didn't realize The Ipcress File was both a book AND a movie. Thanks for pointing that out Sylvia, and good job to celendis for figuring out the last piece to the puzzle!

no need to apologize. we are one big family here, helping each other out. for what some of us miss others see, i miss things all the time but someone always gets me back on track and that's just one of our jobs: to make sure each of us is on the same page. celendis, perhaps should have been a little more clear in how he came up with the answer but it was in chat when he found it and i think he was just a little excited and forgot to go into detail.

Did anyone else notice this--
After you leave a comment on Keir's blog, it says your name followed by schrieb. So, for example, if I left a comment, it would say:

Schrieb is a German word that means 'wrote.' This means that whatever blog software Keir is using, it's German. Not sure if this is significant, but it definitely hints at him being bilingual and possibly living in Germany.

[info] IPCRESS on the subject of IPCRESS, i found this interesting tidbit from the wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ipcress_File
Quote:
The IPCRESS File was the first spy novel by Len Deighton, published in 1962.
It was made into a film in 1965 produced by Harry Saltzman and directed by Sidney J. Furie, starring Michael Caine as Harry Palmer.
The plot involves mind control : the acronym IPCRESS stands for "I nduction of P sycho-neuroses by C onditioned R eflex under strESS ". The novel also includes scenes in the Lebanon and an atoll for a US atomic bomb test and learn about Joe One, although these elements were not in the film version.
(bold and color format by me)

Mind control! Like Melvin Geist (who allegedly can control minds!).
