[PUZZLE] DevCorp Level 5 Access - using login "absolute" Logging into DevCorop's employee access with the login "absolute" gives us these images titled "atoo" "lanif" "traq" "lrue" "uved" "oui" "yanna" "crax" "syen" and "nun" (in order)
Quote:
Combination Protocol Portal
It seems that the correct sequence is needed to gain level 5 access.
Sylvia pointed out this from the DevCorp secure login, under Reports: Devcorp Protocols
Quote:
dcdoc:access protocols
After internal reviews all DevCorp employees are going to have their access levels evaluated on a case by case bases. Supervisors are encouraged to only grant level5 access to necessary employees who have passed the DevCorp security screening and psychological evaluation. The practice of assigning temporary level5 access will no longer be used at DevCorp.

Sorry, working on it. It seems as if preview is precariously close to submit.

I knew they looked familiar! I did a search on the Roswell "symbols" that were supposedly seen by Bill Brazel on some of the pieces of debris and those are them (see http://www.angelfire.com/indie/anna_jones1/roswell_hieroglyphs.html ) The question now is how we need to use these.

Except that the symbols aren't all represented there.

I noticed that too and thought that maybe we only used the ones represented or not and neither of those worked. There are a lot of diffeet places to go to see these symbols. I just used that one for a reference but feel free to look for more.

I was trying to see if I could make something of the letters and if I group any of them together and unscramble them it made something... buttt all I've got is that if you reverse one it says "final" and one unscrambled is "rule." So that's not much help

got an email from Joeseph:
Quote:
It seems DevCorp security has added a new security lock on the image
bank. Thanks for sending those images to me; I remember seeing those
symbols before so I did some digging in the DevCorp Archive. I found
an old encrypted report from our cryptology department. The file name
references the symbols. I have uploaded the report to an unused
folder inside DevCorp, look inside this url which will lead you to the
file for access. If you uncover any direct evidence inside the image
bank forward it to me, subject = Down Town.

binary decoded as: securedctrasherrorpage.php
I can't seem to get it to work in the DC site. I've tried putting the slash in various points (secure/dctrash.php, securedc/trash.php, etc...) but nothing is working yet.
[edit - broke up the binary code to fit the forum - kona]

You need to use
http://www.developmentis.com/secure/dctrash/errorpage.php
Now, this looks just like any other errorpage - but notice in the html that there is an image map on the lower right icon, leading to
http://www.developmentis.com/secure/dctrash/xsymbols.php
There is a lot of code on this page, looking like base-16.

Decodes as:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The artifact recovered from site 1 of the 33-105 incident appeared to contain
writings of some form on the external left side. This status report reflects
the recent progress of the symbols in question.
General Overview:
After much debate within the department, members agree that the arrangement and
order of symbols signify a mathematical base system from the creators of
the artifact. This might serve as a base system of computation and possibly
a means of communication. All references to Earth bound cultures current or
ancient seem to reflect no similar elements.
Specific Findings:
The encryption department is confident in the following points;
Symbols represent a base number system equivalent 1-9 and 0
Based on findings from site 2 artifact, the following names have
been assigned to each numbered symbol:
1=atoo 2=lanif 3=traq 4=lrue 5=uved 6=oui 7=yanna 8=crax 9=syen 0=nun
Sequencing of genetic markers can begin using the current base system
from tissue samples 51A and 51D.

Solved!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You need to select the signs corresponding to the numbers 1, 4, 7, 9 - that is, the year 1947, the year of the Roswell incident.
This gives you the page http://www.developmentis.com/secure/securelock/imagesecure.php with the text
