[UPDATE] www.evamcgill.co.uk/blog- Jan. 27, 07 "Help Me!" Eva gets a ZIP attachment from Keir New blog entry referring to the recent emails from Keir in Eva's private email. She wants us to help solve the password for Keir's attachment.
The attachment is a password encrypted ZIP file with a file called:
That requires a password to unzip it.
We also have the cryptic update to Keir's blog:

OK thinking along the lines of 12.06 referring to the December post of Eva's blog, the one when she describes Erwin's disapperance. Keir's comment about 'darkness at the root of the problem' could be a direct reference to the hole underneath the Rowan tree that Erwin disappears down.

This might have to do with Davids Tryptich Theory (see http://www.timehole.co.uk/Triptych.html ).

Puzzle Time go to http://www.keirjones.co.uk/
There is a new image (dark.jpg) hidden in the back ground. Highlight (select all) or look in the source to find it. I'm sure this will help with the password for the zip file Keir sent to Eva.

happy solving.

Well done Sylvia. I looked at that little box on the page and thought nothing of it.
Anyway here's the solve
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Downlaod dark.jpg and open its properties page. Under summary in the comments text box is the password for the zip file.

Great job on the solve!
Unfortunately, after unzipping the file... It seems we have another problem to solve. It's classified as an '06' type file. *sigh*
Someone want to pass the solve on to Eva?
Edit:
Look at the code further:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
corelvl01logbkup
It's shorthand for:
Core Level 1 Log Backup
Obviously, it has some relation to that Subject180287 website. Maybe we should email it as an attachment to the email adress from the Subject180287 site...?
Edit Again:
Never mind, Danbullerman's explanation makes a lot more sense.

Eva has an RFID chip, controlled by SRI and this is a record of where she went in December? EDIT: Or rather what she spent.

tim7168 and all, that is for the days December 20, 21, 22 and 23, and the places she visited and the amount she spent and the time of day.
for example 201206 1403 topsh 2399:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
On December 20, 2006 she visited the Topshop at 14:03 (2:03pm) and spent 23.99
The important thing now is to let Eva know she has an RFID chip in her and is being tracked by SRI.

For those of you not familiar with british shops, here's a rundown:
Topshop : Clothes
Hennes : Clothes
Habitat: Furniture
Costa Coffee : Coffee
J. Sainsbury: Supermarket
Texaco : Petrol station
Borders: Books
Fop : CD's DVD's, Books etc.
Threshers : Off-Licence (Liquor Store)
H Sahid: Not sure of this one, more than likely a local corner shop.
