The only cards with blobs on them NOT in the animation are 94 and 222.
In England, the part covered by 94 is the bit toughing the eastern coast (not the top one, the next one down).
222 is the duplicate of 253 (the bit at the very bottom).
So, perhaps this means that it is between these two areas, or maybe MC is being mean by narrowing it down to 2 areas.

If 222 is the duplicate, this would narrow it down to 94 only.
I think this is a good start. If no one else wants to try, I'm packing my shovel and go book a flight to UK.

I can see your logic, but your missing one curious anomaly. Why is 64 in the animation? We've discussed this in various places, but no real answer has been agreed upon. I think I read that there was some discussion "somewhere" that it might contain something we hadn't spotted....so how about that train of thought?
My brain can dismiss 94 from the layer pattern as it wouldn't be required to map a route from start to finish (i.e. it's a sticky out bit!) whereas all the other blobs are required for a non-stop "start-to-finish" path or way.

Card #64 There is definitely a tiny dot or blob on the card, between the l and y in Hollywood. Loads of people have now found it on their card but no-one seems to know if it's a printing issue or a clue.

would go myself but no car, and have to work, damn ofsted inspectors or i'd have thrown a sicky
The Cleveland Way also runs round the North York Moors, and there is plenty of Forestry Commision Woodland near there. Probably irrelavant, but it would be nice if it were close to home, even if i'm not there currently

narrowing down who CT is I think I may have a thought on who CT is... or at least a "narrowed down" list:
It's either Violet, Sente, or Scarlett.
In the last update to LOB, CT said that as soon as he (she?) buried the cube, s/he found himself transported back to the city (Perplex City!)... but with a SHOVEL and SACK. This means that yes, these are the "earth objects" transported to PXC.
Someone in the Kiteway house is CT. My money is on Scarlett (Sente, likely but my gut tells me no, and Violet lives in another house anyway).
Now open to trouting.

they found himself transported back to the city this may not be Perplex City. it could be they walked out of the woods into any of the large towns along Jurassic way. this may we need to look never the big citys.
Bristol
Coventry
Nottingham
Doncaster
York
and theres is a village called hollywood beteew brimingham and Coventry.

If it helps any, my copy does not have this "mark" on it, but a work colleague's does. Just sayin' I think the clue might be on the card design itself - either the name (Hollywood or the fact that it's a white marker)... or the two trees on a hill.
Second thought. A white horse being the quadraped would mean it would have to have a "middle leg proudly raised" or whatever. The Kilburn horse doesn't.

Risk and Gems Now that the blobs have been figured out, what about the Risk and gemstone puzzles? I'm starting to think the Risk puzzle tells us what blob the Cube is in, and the gemstone puzzle narrows it down further from there.
I've looked through most of the posts for these guys, but it doesn't seem like much progress has been made. Time to take another stab at them, methinks.

But I think the Jurassic might be the Era we're looking for. What do you think?
This might be taking the clues too far but...
The founder of modern geology was called William 'Strata' Smith.
He was the first to map the Jurassic rocks from Yorkshire all the way south to south Dorset.
He was born in the village of Churchill, Oxfordshire.
Not sure if this helps.
And the Jurassic Way lead sounds more promising... unless there's some connection between the a location on the Jurassic Way and 'Strata' Smith.

Flipping around with Google Earth, since I'm trapped on this side of the pond wishing I could raise a pint, I noticed there's a lake between Oakham and Empingham, a bit west of Stamford, that looks like Blob #222 or perhaps #223.
Yea, probably doesn't mean anything.

Jurassic era There's no blob on my #64 - still at a loss as to why MC have included it. Also #222 is not part of the joined blobs. Why? Printing error?
Finally, I 've been looking at other footpaths or ways in the area of the Jurassic era map. There is Monarch's Way which criss-crosses the Southern parts. Interestingly, there is a place called Catcombe (nearby Somerton) but very liitle woodland here! I'll keep looking!

Card 64 and other various mad ideas... Well my opinion on card 64 is that the blob could be a printing error because it is not on all of them but the clue is when Ct burried the Cube see LoB it says you must know when the last of the earth was scattered.
And...Drum roll please....wait drum roll not required...
EVERYBODY IF YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT SCARLETT AND ASCENDACY POINT LEARN IT NOW AND THEN EVERYBODY ELSE INCLUDING YOU YES YOU THE GUY/GIRL I'M TALKIN 2 READ LOB AGAIN WITH THE IDEA OF IT BEING SCARLETT........freaky music......

I think the Jurassic Era is right, but the Jurassic Way is wrong. I'm leaning towards Monarch's Way, where it crosses over the jurassic strata (looks like the stretch between Bristol and Straford-upon-Avon-ish area...I'm working from poorly drawn maps so that's probably not exact).
I'm also leaning towards Sente or Violet being CT, and not Scarlett, because CT mentions that the 3P was using people close to him/her to force the location out of them right as Scarlett was getting kidnapped.
But what do I know, I've been to the UK exactly never. :p
