Just a couple things that are scratching at my brain.

Methionine is a 'start' amino. It is my understanding that all protein sequences must have Methionine at the beginning. This is not the case with our 14 aminos.
Also, we had previously been directed to sort the strings into a specific order. I doubt that we are to resort them again just to make the protein sequence valid.
If this is true, then we are to do something different with our new information. What that is, I don't yet know.

I've said this before in a different way. Historically, we have been able to see where the clues were derived from. When 'Secret Locations' was finally solved it was easy to see how we should have solved it without the clue.
I have not been able to find yet where we were supposed to get the Mod 4 from. If we had found that previously, then where were we supposed to find the base molecules?
If we can locate in the cards or storyline where those clues were hidden, the original may have more information than was put in the final clue.

Although methionine is a start codon in most genes there are some exceptions according to my textbook those are GUG (valine) and UUG (leucine). Although this depends on if we are taking it literally as a DNA/RNA strand

DNA can be read both forwards and backwards during the process of transcription, although it is a bit weird going in reverse, this was actually an answer to a question on a card (130) so they may be asking you to read it in the alternate direction

it is read in reverse by okazaki fragments if more information is needed i can post it but don't want to flood people with useless stuff.

14 amino acids in the decoded RNA sequence, makes me think we're looking at a set of encoded GPS co-ordinates:

DD MM SS N/S
DD MM SS E/W

However I can't come up with a method of decoding that gives a sensible answer (i.e. not in the North Sea).
