Here's a thought:

Is there some kind of way to look for anything else in that movie clip? I'm more of an audio guy, but it seems to me that there might be some kind of delta comparison between frames that could reveal a pattern in all that snow. Is that going too far? Given the complexity of some of the text encryption, I wouldn't put it past them to do something like that.

there are similar times in brutus.jpg and in beths logs (as Monki mentions in this thred)

9:22 10:51 12:18 14:01- in logs "beth time"

9:20 10:42 12:03 13:16- in brutus.jpg

2, 9, 15, 45 maybe how far off they are from eachother might mean something, maybe it dosnt or maybe someones stuck in a time warp(might explane the slow dog bark)

this might be off topic, but the .mic file seems awful tricky for a normal 'help me' if I was in serious trouble I dont think I'd go thru all that effort, a quick post somewhere with some identifying personal and/or code word seems more appropriate to me.. I'm sort of at a loss for what it could mean, maybe scratch is a show off even when he needs help.. :)

Considering the correlation between Caesar's post (mentioning the increase in whomps) and Beth's log (concerning her tests on AI Man) does this confirm for us then that AI Man is responsible for these mysterious whomps and, more to the point, that he is doing something far more significant that simply altering Beth's perception of the world? I mean if he was just altering her perception, surely that wouldn't have the massive effect that it does, resulting in the whomps that the paintover hackers have been studying?

Don't forget! Not only did Scratch have time to put together his little movie, he also had time to solve Ceasar's image puzzle. Assuming he finds the meeting places the same way we do, that is.

Thinking out loud:
Why is the audio stretched?

1. To obfuscate it and hide it from the casual set of prying ears.

2. The person/thing recording it was moving through time faster than his surroundings, which implies one of two things:
a) he was moving faster than 'normal'
b) everything around him (ie. the dog) was moving slower than 'normal'

3. It was recorded at a much higher sampling rate (assuming the original recording was digital) than normal. Very high tech recording gear?

If Scratch is actually in danger, then:

1) How did he manage to make the recording, and then get access to a computer and post the movie file, all whilst on the run?

2) Slightly off-topic, but did AI Man save Texel because he had his 'feelers' out looking for 'bad' whomps, and realised someone was in danger, and went to help her? If that's the case, and Scratch is in danger from something else, then AI Man might not be able to save him...
