 		Well, 5 different puzzles plus one duplicate

I was just asking because we still have an (assumed) index of "8" on one of these puzzles but only 5 puzzles total. Strange.

I sent an email to the provided address asking for Jon's information (and whether he signed it at all).

That was like 8 days ago. I don't think we're going to get much out of them.

 		Hey guys Sun-Yi got a new blog up about the today show, i have watched the clip where Sun-Yi says that we should see them but i just don't. The short film was good, but man does matt seem like he is pissed at Derek... i wonder what happened....other then that nothing really new to go on. Anyone having any luck with the puzzles? and do we have anyone who can make it to the screening Sun-Yi is holding?

Oh and i sent a message to Amie about two or three days ago, asking for more info about Jon and the other body mod disapearence and to pass on the translation of Painted Soul in german, looks like i am not going to be getting a responce, but i am still waiting.

Well, Matt's definitely there - it's just really hard to see him on the Myspace video. I had to go look at it on my HD recording to really see - and Matt is there in his goofy hat even if I can't see where Sun-Yi is. But you're really not missing much if you can't see them - it's a blink and you miss it type thing.

 		Rowan hey i know this i really a long shot but do you think you could look at the footage again and see if you see Jon, it won't make any sense for him to be there because he in theory i off somewhere in England, but i don't know why Amie would have a post saying if anyone has seen Jon to send her a message if we wouldn't have any chance of seeing him.... i know it is kinda a random thought but just give it a try... thanks

 		The thing is, I don't even know if I would recognize Jon unless I knew what he was wearing or I could see his gross implant. For that matter, Jon could be masquerading as Matt in that footage and you'd never know because it goes by so fast.

As for Amie having a post about Jon, it's kinda what you'd expect her to have, isn't it? Remember, she's not talking directly to us. She's talking to her body mod friends who presumably live all over the world and who might have seen Jon in Berlin or after he supposdly left. The biggest clue of that post, IMHO, isn't about seeing Jon, but about his friend Painted Soul. If we could manage to find him, I'd think we'd be in good shape.

 		I used to live a few blocks from where that Tattoo expo was held and sent an email to Amie offering my help, but haven't heard back either.
Online searches are tricky because "Painted Soul" apparently is some sort of metal band- too many false positives.

A while back, after I saw The Host at the NYC Film Festival, I actually went down to Magnolia Pictures the next week just to see if I could bluff my way in and make a good impression on them, as a possible lead-in to an internship next year or so. I was caught up in the moment; totally inspired by the film that I had recently seen and starry-eyed with possibility. And actually, I ended up having a long conversation with one of their marketing guys, who was really fascinating. And good looking. He actually asked me out, but between school and everything else I just didn't have the time. But he and I have been emailing back and forth, and I actually had some free time to go to lunch with him a few weeks ago, around the time that the movie posters were scheduled to go to press. And he and I got to talking about stuff, and I told him about my involvement with Monsterhunterclub.com, and he thought it was awesome and said he'd have a surprise for me in a few days.

Imagine my shock when he sent over this poster that actually had Derek's website printed at the bottom of it. I thought it was just a one-off, but it turns out that all the posters were like that. And the trailers. And the website! Surprised

I'm feeling a little like the sorcerer's apprentice here with things snowballing like that, but I thought that Derek would really enjoy the increased activity and exposure, so I've kept my mouth shut until now. I didn't want you guys to think that he was up to no good, though, hence my posting this. It's all me – the poster stuff, anyway. I had nothing to do with the missing dolls, er, action figures.

So there's my story, Derek. I hope it was a nice birthday surprise for you. Oh, wait a minute, it's my birthday, not yours. Darn, don't you just hate it when you get things mixed up like that? Wink

 		I was wondering how they would handle that, since The Host definitely exists in their world. I have to admit that, on a basic level, Sun-Yi's explanation does seem rather convenient, but I think she explains it pretty convincingly. Didn't this kind of thing happen a lot with Who Is Benjamin Stove -- lots of people coming to the in-game forums to tell everyone, "Hey! This is all a hoax!" ?
