Zodiac Codes

Yesterday, I saw a trailer on TV for a movie called "Zodiac". It was directed by the same guy who directed "Se7en", one of my favorite horror flicks. Intrigued, I did some wikipedia research, and discovered that the movie is based on a true series of murders. Here's the article:

To me, this sounds like an RRG - 'Read Reality Game' (ARG but real). Kinda creepy, but I think ARG fans should find it cool.

Here is the first cipher the killer left. The solution is spoilered beneath it.

Here's the second half. It was never deciphered.

Next, the killer left a cipher of his name in one of his letters. The original letter is here. The cipher is unsolved.

Following, the killer claimed to have set up a bomb, and hid the location in the form of a cipher in another letter. This cipher is also unsolved.

Chilling stuff, huh?
