[BLOG] Update 7 Feb 2007 - http://www.evamcgill.co.uk/blog/
Foot's all better

Credits

Russell for pointing out Voiphe's shadow in the vid.

Quote:

My foot's better! I'm free!
My foot suddenly feels better and so I'm taking the bandages off for the last time!
Thank you for all your emails, photos and messages, you've all been so kind (sorry sound a bit like the Elephant Man there..) what I mean to say is I really appreciate you making friends with me and it's so nice to see and hear a bit about you and your lives.
I've emailed Professor Wilson and Keir but still haven't heard back from either of them. I've also emailed Dr Frankie Francis to find out who she/he is. If you keep in touch with me then I can let you know – I'll probably be keeping up my blog even though everything's ok now and I'm free! I feel silly having been so worried and paranoid this past week especially, I think it was cabin fever! First thing tomorrow I'm going to the RSPCA centre and the catteries round here to look for Erwin. You never know he might just be there. Part of me really believes that he could be any where in the world, travelling around while I'm stuck here. I'll let you know if I find him tomorrow and please keep looking yourselves wherever you are! Thanks again and you really do mean a lot to me. Be seeing you. x

I had to watch the video a few times just to make sure I was actually seeing the shadow of the teddy bear and not just imagining it.

There is definitely something Voiphe shaped that walks towards the bookcase.

Also, do you reckon that Eva's miraculous foot recovery is what Prof. Wilson was referring to when he said that sending Eva Youshi was 'a means to an end'?

I think the fact that she spends about half the clip eating a Youshi thing, then talks about her foot being suddenly better is meant to draw our attention to the two together.

I think the foot recovery is a side effect of what Youshi is meant to do.

Assuming the Youshi is directly related to Eva's foot recovery (which I think it is)...

One of these is true:

1. Youshi's intended primary effect was to heal Eva's foot.
2. Youshi's intended side-effect was to heal Eva's foot.
3. Youshi's unintended side-effect was to heal Eva's foot.

When Wilson says that Youshi was 'a means to an end,' is he referring to fixing Eva's foot? If so, 1 or 2 is true. If he's referring to something else, it's more likely that 3 is true. Hm... Opinions?

BTW, guys, great find on Voiphe in the shadows!

I don't know about you guys but what has me scared right now is that teddy bear running around the place and that robobug we say in an earlier video.

What if the Youshi is not all that bad and it's actually responsible for making Eva feel better and more energetic? I know I'm going to catch it from you guys on this one, but what if?

Oh, how confusing. How many twist can this story take?

But let's discuss the bear for a bit. What the heck is giving it the ability to move like that? Is it possessed? If so, by who/what? Is it being controlled remotely? I could go on all day but I think you understand.

When Wilson talked about Youshi as being a means to an end, I figured he either just wanted her to taste the stuff - OR, he wanted her to visit the website and investigate the company, because he knew it would lead us to uncover some sort of horrible truth about them.

I really don't know - pure spec at this point.

You know Sylvia, I was thinking along the same lines. The Youshi may well be responsible for Eva's quick recovery. It seems pretty obvious to me that Eva has some latent psychic ability, which is tied in some way to her childhood memories. Voiphe is effectively the physical manifestation of Eva's collected childhood members, he could well be the focal point or the catalyst if you will for the (uncontrolled) release of Eva's psychic powers (the electricity cutting out, books falling off shelves, strange shadows etc.)

Wilson is definitely involved with YouKin in some way. If he's NOT a bad guy, perhaps the Youshi IS a good thing.

To be fair, we never actually found out anything bad about Youshi, I think we just assumed, because we thought we couldn't trust Prof Wilson. Also Eva getting depressed seemed to coincide with her taking the stuff, but she is still eating the sweets and she's cheered up, so maybe it was a coincidence after all.

The other perceived bad thing about Youshi/Youkin was the "Core Legacy Interface" reference which seemed to relate to Subject180287.net, which in light of psivolution.com might not be what we first thought it was.

I wonder if it is actually the bear that is moving? If Eva does have psychic/telekinetic powers, perhaps her happiness (which is pretty extreme) at having Voiphe back is causing the image of Voiphe to plod happily around the room--maybe the shadow we see is literally a projection of Eva's state of mind.

Similarly, in the previous blog, the book falling off the shelf would be enough to evoke strong memories of Erwin (who always tried to get on the bookshelf). Perhaps that caused a similar 'projection', which did move vaguely like a cat. That does not explain the noise that accompanied it, however. Also, the image was a lot less distinctive.

This leads me to my final point, perhaps Youshi is amplifying Eva's psychic/kinetic abilities, which has also somehow helped her to heal her foot.
