[DC][Origins] Inspired by? Loosely based on?
some insight as to how Deus City may have come to be

Seven years ago, Eidos Interactive and Ion Storm released a PC game called Deus Ex. Despite lackluster graphics and sub-par voice acting, the game became an instant classic. It received top honors from numerous gaming authorities, including the distinction of 'Game of the Year' from many sources.

Aside from the obvious titular similarity, Deus Ex and Deus City have a whole slew of common threads.

Instead of me listing off the similarities I found, I'll provide you all with a link to the (surprisingly thorough) wikipedia page for DE right here

I thought that maybe this was all in my head... just wishful thinking from a Deus Ex fanboy... but then I figured, why not get a second, third, fourth opinion from the rest of yall.

Feel free to contact me personally if you'd like to chat

Original "Metropolis" film, the german one? I first got the impression from the Cathedral, especially, which looks so big and is yet so small compared to the modern architecture. But there are other paralels too - financial and political power in the same hands, a big futuristic city, class seperation by districts, etc. Also the colored districts remind me of Aramanth, if you've read that.
