Laughing It so funny, as an American, to hear these obvious non-American voices trying an American accent.

For those CBC fans, it sounds like "As It Happens" or something to me...

Think of it as payback for all you guys who have tried to play Robin hood Smile

It also sounds like to me that one male voice is doing both voices in this in one go.

Cracking up here--finally was reading the transcript, and got to this bit. He said "Dom Deluise?"

Anyway, there are two copies of this broadcast on google--has anyone compared the two, by any chance?

[SPEC] Does Melvin Geist really exist?
I know we've talked about this before, but...

Somehow I missed that Melvin Geist is allergic to cats. So here's my thinking. His last name means ghost, right? And if you've seen "The Mummy," they mention in that movie that cats are the guardians of the underworld. So is Melvin Geist dead? Or undead, as it were?

Also, maybe Geist is named that because he isn't really involved in this game at all, except he's a ghost. Like Wilson is saying that he was looking for Geist, but that is just to cover up what he was REALLY doing in the U.S.

If that's the case, what WAS he really doing in the U.S.? My guess is that he was setting up Montauk to be ready to do more experiments on Eva.

This also puts a different spin on the threatening letter to Keir. Keir worked for SRI, right? So if Geist doesn't exist, I'm guessing that Wilson actually wrote the letter.

It's all a bit "Remington Steele" if you ask me.

As far as spec goes, I'd say that's pretty "out there". Pat and Dave would be proud, but then there is such a thing as "overthinking" a situation. As far as I know, there's only one undead actor in Hollywood, and his name is Keanu Reeves.

I guess I'll put the hamster back in its cage.

Does anyone else think it is odd that Melvin Geist - who is supposedly in charge of this huge secret conspiracy that people are willinng to kill for to keep hidden - would advertise the fact that he was "abducted by aliens" and given psychic powers?

It's really a brilliant cover-up. If everyone thinks he's a nutter because of him stating that he has 'psychic powers,' if there ever was a leak about the truth, nobody would believe it anyways. Smile
