[UPDATE] Tyi's Blog (Feb 11)

Quote:
It looks as if the skulls are ready for us to find the next one. The skulls mentioned something about Lost in Guanajuato on some List. I am looking into it, I will see what I can find. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Leading us logically to...

1. Craigslist

2. Guanajuato section

3. Lost & Found section

Thus:

http://guanajuato.craigslist.org/laf/277095838.html

Smile Time for a scavenger hunt.

Edit: Hm... Greek letters. Let's see:

υπολογιστής

Are (I think) the symbols for:

Nu Pi Omikron Lambda Omikron Gamma Iota Sigma Tau Eta Stigma

Taking the first letter of each gives us:

NPOLOGISTES

And that's where my train-o-thought ends. XD

Well I tried to decode the greek using this website: http://www.physlink.com/reference/GreekAlphabet.cfm
and I think I might've reached a dead end because the translation ended up as: upolonisthx.
Please feel free to see if I screwed up because I'm not so sure.
Other than offering that I'm stumped.

Hm... I dunno. XD Looks like you might be heading in the right direction, though.

Carmen Sandiego Eat Your Heart Out

No idea how relevant this is, or what our ultimate goal for this puzzle is, but googling "greek computer" led me to info on the Antikythera mechanism, an ancient Greek mechanical "computer" possibly used to predict the motions of heavenly bodies.

Solved!:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Go to the Athens Craiglist site. There's a category for "computer services," which gives this page: http://athens.craigslist.org/cps/277101613.html

The text there reads: "Good, Next. утес saint любимчика"

The first word is Russian for "rock."

Don't know what the last word is, but Saint and the Russian language led me to the Craigslist for St. Petersberg, and this posting about "HARD to handle pets": http://stpetersburg.craigslist.org/pet/277108340.html

"I hate Paris Hilton voulez vendre un gosse ?"

Paris leads me to the Craigslist for Paris. In french, the phrase translates to "will you sell a kid?" Looking under "For Sale -> Baby/Kids" gives the next page: http://paris.craigslist.org/bab/277120699.html

"You are doing well so far, Next. Hannover Felsenmusiker"

Felsenmusiker is German for rock musician, and Hanover is a town in Germany. Hanover was trickier to find, because it wasn't on the main page. Looking under musician community gives this page: http://hannover.craigslist.org/muc/277128417.html

"More like Crystal but Oh well. Do you miss the crock hunter? We wish we could have connected with him in the capital."

Croc Hunter refers to the late Steve Irwin, an Aussie. Looking in Sydney's personals gives this page: http://sydney.craigslist.org/mis/277132800.html

"Good, good. Have you ever tried to park in a city filled with angels?"

LA is the City of Angels. Looking at Housing->Parking in Los Angeles' Craiglist gives this site: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/prk/277136958.html

"Looks like you found where I park. Next. You cant go north because they are bad and there leader Rants alot, But the south seems to be Raved about."

What country split in two has a crazy leader up north and a more sympathetic south? Korea! Going to Seoul and looking at Personals->Rants and Raves gives this site: http://seoul.craigslist.org/rnr/277143100.html

"I think everyone should pass a hug around! Next. Who was it that one the SuperBowl? I wish I could have bought some sports memorabilia."

The Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl. Looking at the Indianapolis Craigslist under For Sale-> Sporting, our fair crystal skull is selling A pair of Manning's Socks: http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/spo/277148645.html

"Stinky, nevermind. Next. Thinking about renting a house here? To much trouble over a Bank on the West side as well as some mound inside city walls."

The clue refers to Israel in an off-color manner. Looking at Housing in Jerusalem: http://jerusalem.craigslist.org/sbw/277153852.html

"Don't know why I need a house I have no Body......... Toyota, Manga, Saki, ninja, could all be found here."

Looking at Tokyo's lost and found gives an entry for "A drunk, cartoon, transforming ninja made by Toyota": http://tokyo.craigslist.org/laf/277157747.html

"Wouldn't that be fun to watch? Next. I am searching the personals for my babies Mummy"

Egypt Personals gives "Babies Mummy?": http://cairo.craigslist.org/m4w/277167997.html

"Yah I know! yuck. Next.

Since you all like puzzles and games, mabe we can forum chat. Go back to where this all started and lets talk."

The email is a Craigslist ID, and not the gmail account. Anyone able to tell the skull our progress? He might also be referring to the forum on Craigslist Guanajuato: http://forums.guanajuato.craigslist.org/

Huzzah!

Final page:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He was referring to the gaming section of the Guanajuato forums. Maxskull, eh? We should take this opportunity to ask him a question or two: http://forums.guanajuato.craigslist.org/?act=Q&ID=57809078

Wow. What a rush!

its a name of one of the actual skulls, and one of the more legit ones at that. According to the skulls owner the skull contacted her and told her its name was max skull.

Allright, just wanted to make sure that these names were legit instead of him just losing creativity and making random names for the skulls.
