Instead of film adaptations, could it simply refer to the actual film "Adaptation"?? Nicholas Cage film from a few years back about the Kauffman brothers.

Although i like the middle earth idea.

Anyone have a copy of Adaptation to check out whats happening or whats on screen at 1:59:26?


EDIT: Never mind, Adaptation is only 1 hour 54 minutes long according to imdb

I'd still check it out - at the end of the credits there's a quotation from the fictional "the three." not that I'm sure it's relevant (other than cell reference) or time-appropriate, still.
I would look at Jurassic Park, though. (I don't own many movies myself, so haven't been able to look these up).

Well, I checked it, and my copy of Adaptation runs to 1:50:26 (and this is a region 2 version, see it here). So

As for the quotation at the end of the credits (in case different systems could be used to give different times):

Um, I'm a bit hamstrung here because I can't exactly remember how the solve works so I can't do a word-perfect run-through. And anyway, is that what people would want?

I downloaded a DVD-rip of "Jurassic Park - The Lost World", so the timing might not be perfect. But, at 1:56:29 (not 1:59:26, which seems to have gotten confused along the way in this thread), the image below is on screen, as Dr. Hammond (Richard Attenborough) says "Life will find a way", as the movie wraps up.



The timestamp actually comes whilst Hammond is mid-sentence, cutting in after he says 'Life', when he momentarily pauses then finishes with "will find a way". If you play the movie from the timestamp, it actually just sounds like "find a way", so i think this a clue to finding the Jurassic Way.

Well, I'll be damned. I thought it was Jeff Goldblum in the first Jurassic Park movie, which might be said to be a modern adaptation of the Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Lost World' novel of 1912. But yes, that's it - Jurassic Park, "Life will find a way."

I'm so glad that we can cross this puzzle off the list. I can't believe that I didn't think of Jurassic Park even after all the talk about Jurassic Way. Thank goodness for Cassandra. She's never steered us wrong.
