I have no clue what this is but I just got this email in my inbox today. It may just be useless spam, but I really don't know too much about these things, and it sounded very interesting, Confused

Let it be known that this looks a lot like spam. However, the fact that it asks for absolutely no personal information makes me wonder. What do you guys think?

Probably not legit, but it could't hurt to send her a reply. Nothing like giving out your info or anything like that. Just say that you want to know how you were picked.

After you reply, she will give you contact information for her "bank" that will require your bank information to expediate a transfer of funds....

...this is just another updated version of the Nigerian scam, but avoiding any mention of money in the original email helps to get past some of the spamfilters.

Googling Pearl Hutchinson doesn't come up with much, though a person by that name has put out a book of photographs and psalms.

Upon reading the IM conversation, my inclination was to dismiss it as spam for a dating (or even porn) website. But I went to check on it, and all it does is say "Singapore Airlines, Flight 11, 2/25/07."

Well, that's tomorrow. Shocked

Potentially ARGish, at least.
