[UPDATE] Nov. 6 Incidentlogs

Not sure which other thread you meant, Ehsan, but since there isn't really a thread dealing with the logs themselves (the other ones are either the webcam or passwords), and we always did the logs in Updates, is it ok to create a new one? You can move this to wherever this would be more appropriate if I misjudged the topic Smile

So - some general things. The IP address is still Metacortex'. I was hoping that they would log that "missing" level, but no such luck - everything appears to be the same (maybe there is no "missing" level Sad ). Also, not sure what happened, and if it's even relevant, but the file sizes decreased a lot. Also, I don't know what to attribute this to - but the incident took place on the 6th; we knew that the logs got locked on the 9th. I'm pretty sure I looked at them on the 8th or 7th; so it either means that the logs were not upped until 3 days later or... is Aquapolis having same sort of problem paintover is having (I know paintover's had something to do with Moveable Type, but such a huge difference of 3 days (even larger considering time zones) is kind of strange)?

The first weird thing is that it logs "fire" like this:
Code:
03:11:09-rec/fire/delta/tinos/0053

Last incident, one that we are sure was a flood, was logged as "breach". I suppose we can attribute it to the fact that the outer shell had to be "breached" in order for flood to take place.

So, it receives a fire warning in the delta module on Tinos and wants to turn on the sprinklers. But the sprinklers have no pressure in them, so they won't work. Therefore, it starts closing doors - namely, A (probably leads to the guest modules) and B (probably leads to the alpha module). Receives a few more fire warnings, wants to turn on sprinklers - no luck. Then it queries the SubPen doors, and finds one of them open (D - probably the one closest to SubPen), and the other - C - closed. Receives more firewarnings, sprinklers don't work, blah - and then - for a reason that totally escapes me, it wants to open door A! Gets a manual override on that one, and denies it.

Meanwhile, it opens door C (safety override) and starts receiving all of those 00xx - here I can only presume them to be "flood" breaches. I guess what happened is the sprinklers didn't work, so it just decided to open the SubPen and extinguish the fire by flooding everything. It keeps denying somebody's attempts to close door A, and then - even weirder - somebody wants to close door C. Gets denied; flooding is working; another attempt to close C, denied again.

Here is the part I don't quite understand. At 03:14:39 it starts sending out system checks and receiving "system secure". How it could receive that given that SubPen, walkways, and entire Delta on Tinos should be flooded by now, I don't know.

Nonetheless, that happens, but somebody is still trying to close door A. And then it just sets A offline! Question After it sets it back online, door A is closed. Wth this was about, I - again - have no idea Confused

And then it looks like it just starts pumping water out. When it's done, it turns the pumps off, closes door C (yes, must always keep door C locked Wink ), opens A and B, and sets that part of the level to usual pressure. End of log.

A couple more strange things. At 15:44 "Surface" is red for some reason - the same way Andros was on the 8th.
Stranger yet, the door between guest modules and Delta on Delos is closed. Why? What is it about Delos? I presume it was closed for the whole duration of the incident, and it doesn't make sense - it would make sense if that door was closed on Syros, for example - to keep the flood off the guest modules, but why, oh why, Delos?

For those who missed the update, as I did, here's the incident-log log-in info:

I'm getting the impression that SafeSys doesn't give a darn about "safety" or "human life", all it cares about is protecting itself - finding a way to minimize the damage to the Aquapolis.

Doing exactly what its name says? Keeping the system safe! Smile

I hadn't seen anyone mention this yet, but prior to the last incident, the incident log info screens all had this at the bottom:

Systems Monitor
MetaCortex SafeSys V 2.42

The newest log entries have this at the bottom:

Systems Monitor
MetaCortex SafeSys V 2.54

Obviously they upgraded the software version at some point. I'm not sure if this means anything, but I figured I'd point it out.

Has anyone said anything about the new Aquapolis incident logs for Nov. 18??? I just went over there and it's been updated...

Does this call for a new thread or a renaming of this thread to something more general, like "Aquapolis Incident Logs"?
