In the new posting there is a link to an mp3 file. You can get by clicking on the last word in the top line.
The file is called daniel1.mp3. It is in reverse - I have reversed it and uploaded it here as a .wav file

I think this is the transcript of the message. I can't work out some of the words but my best guesses are in brackets
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This is Daniel. I'm (alone) in the grid. I'm seeking out the source. I operate via voice activated (key) switch that only you can provide.
Anyone else work it out ?

I'm pretty sure that's new, as I checked the source earlier and didn't find anything. But maybe I missed it.
EDIT: I think the (key) is kill, like killswitch. As for the (alone) I have no idea.

Yeah, the source comments weren't there earlier today.
I've run the dan1 image through all of the steg tools listed on Unfiction's "Tools" page - without a passphrase it's difficult to say for sure if anything is encrypted in the images but nothing so far.

I don't have any clue how to properly use any steg detection, but I did notice something about the pic. If you open it up in notepad and scan to the bottom of it, you will find this:
8U#u;q?uQ`֕Y0 ^ozTGRar! ϐs
wt 0 5lO63 message.txt
Q̾>tsF"o)}iH"xgLŴP؎m"(X
:7#m(d~K=fy]z鷵Tr;;
D:u:K'Թ5h;|H={ @
I am no expert, but i usually don't see clear words like that, especially referencing a file. Any input about this would be helpful. I am no expert, so I could be wrong and it could be nothing.

I noticed that too. Also at the top of the file is the word "Ducky".
I have also run this through all steg detection tools and can get nothing. Camouflage password breaker says that it is not stegged using Camouflage and desteg says that it is not stegged.
I have come across a PERL desteg program (knowing Conors fondness for hat language) but I can't get it to work at the moment.

Looking at what I wrote, I noticed the word "Rar!" Was that how you figured it out Guy?

I only have time for extremely cursory lurking on anything at the moment...still, glad to help.
The 'Rar' is the huge giveaway, the 'message.txt' is a pretty big hint. Many programs leave some sort of clear text indications in the files they produce. By actually opening the file in a text editor (or renaming to different fileformats), you already did the crucial step.
ARG 101: Always check the source!

Shot off an email with the subject "node two secure" and got this back from Conor:
Daniel is alive... I can't believe it's true!
We need the location of the craft and the killswitch... these things will come in time.

Email from Conor. I'd asked about Haggardstown (mentioned in a previous email)
Quote:
Haggardstown is a smoking hole in the ground now.
The place we're looking for is within a 10 mile radius of Carlingford. A grave of some sort. This is the location of the craft. I need to route the Daniel AI here and end this madness.

No surprise, I suppose, that our site may be near "the Magic Road":
