So who is this Trent and where do I find him?

Trent Reznor, would be the lead singer of NIN. I think it would be kinda hard to get him to ARGfest though. He is touring in europe right now if I remember correctly.

Might have found something, but I bet I am just flogging dead horses,

on the ETS forum someone posted that the message left @ consolidatedmailsystems changed
They supplied two images to prove it, so I subtracted the images from each other and found a bit of
gliched text

not sure what to do with it, probably means nothing:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
un glitched text reads: f*ckin pigsx

Worth note it was removed, not added to the page.

Hi all,

I've been lurking for the past day or two, but I've been so fascinated by all this I knew I had to sign up!
Also, this is my first ARG (or whatever it is) as I didn't keep on top of all the info for Lost even though I'm a big fan. Being in the UK doesn't make it any easier when it comes to talking about programmes that haven't been shown here...

Anyway, I don't have anything to bring to the table right now, but if I think of/find something I'll post it.

Take care,
Tenine

Ok latest spec.

Tonight there is a show in Bilbao, Spain (which in Basque is Bilbo).
Some think that is what the hobbit reference is pointing at and that something will happen there tonight.
We will see.

I'm curious if the codes are supposed to be used in conjunction with the place they were found. Putting them in order, as has been mentioned, yeilds nothing useful, since we were given the track listing days ago.
Using that track listing with the codes and somehow applying the letters to something in their location might bring something to the surface.

i think we just have to wait for a few more.

so far we have: ugodgivenanoin

my guess is that we'll get a 't' next and probably an 'e' and a 'd' and then we may get some more. it'll probably turn out to be a URL, or a search term, or a password, or ...

Report abusive post PAREPIN
Quote

Parepin, as you have come to ingest, is a modified version of two molecular compounds created to induce and/or suppress Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia. Manipulation of electrical fields that exist in all heart centers serve the two-fold purpose of the controller, either conformity or fear. The Seattle incident is example of the control exerted within paradoxical intent.

Traceability is non existent.

If you must know, Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia (PAT) is a condition causing bouts of rapid, regular heart beats originating in the atrium (upper chamber of the heart). PATconsists of periods of very rapid and regular heart beats that begin and end abruptly. During the bouts of PAT, the heart rate typically speeds up to 160-to-200 beats per minute. By manipulating abnormalities in the AV node "relay station" that lead to rapid firing of electrical impulses from the atrium which bypass the AV node under certain conditions. "Certain conditions" include alcohol excess, too much stress, the intake of caffeine, the presence of hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) and excessive thyroid hormone intake. PAT is an example of an arrhythmia where the abnormality is in the electrical system of the heart, while the heart muscle and valves may be entirely normal.

Parepin additives must be ingested to trigger PAT.

Do you now understand, how it functions? It is not for you to understand WHY.

Thank you for your interest. It is now clear to me that Parepin is a completely
safe and effective agent developed to protect us from bio-terrorism. The
Administration is acting purely in the best interests of its citizens; to
suggest otherwise was irresponsible and I deeply regret it.

I'm drinking the water. So should you.

If it was posted before the first site was found I would take it seriously, but as it is it's just someone messing around.

Maybe I'm overthinking this (I find myself wondering that a lot with this newfangled ARG biz)... with regard to 24.10.4, I'd suggest that those of us who are examining these as references to song titles also consider the possibility that the reference is to the 4th character, as opposed to the 4th letter. If it's the 4th character, that would actually be the space between "god" and "given", rather than the 2nd "g." If course it would also affect 24.10.5-8, and thusly eliminate one of the N's from the equation. On the plus side, it would also be a clue that we might be attempting to unscramble two words instead of one.

Just a thought.

Exciting times. Maddening times. Somebody needs to get the internet working in Europe for one.
The term "marketing" sure is a frustrating one for me at the moment. What you are now starting to experience IS "year zero". It's not some kind of gimmick to get you to buy a record - it IS the art form... and we're just getting started. Hope you enjoy the ride.

I know I am!

Thanks for posting that Ariock.
It's really nice to hear from the man himself that this isn't a short lived marketing ploy.
I am looking very forward to this.

Any word on the show tonight?
