I missed this one. Where is he connected to the videos? I'm not being sarcastic, I just honestly can't remember and am having trouble finding it.

I mistakenly thought that it was the username of the person who posted "The Wyoming Incident" to google video. I'm not sure now where I got that idea. That name however, does appear in the comments section and is the person who posted the Youtube link there. It would seem they are related, but now I'm not so sure. I can't seem to find where it tells the username of people who upload videos to Google. If anyone know, that would be obviously relevant.
As far as getting the video off Youtube... Success! I now have all three videos in a .mp4 format. I'm looking around now for a mpeg editor that I can use to put them all together into one continuous film.

A little bit odd that the original creator of this seems to want to change the story. From TV hijacking to underground video collector. Whoever is creating this is sure having a good laugh at the lot of us, and if he reads this, please continue making theese videos. So wonderfully obscure.
I'll be keeping my eyes on your progress

Well, it's pretty obvious that it's some form of ARG/viral marketing, and I get the feeling that 2 (or possibly 3) people posting on this forum are directly involved with it (but I won't name names).
But what exactly is it for? Viral marketing for a new "Silent Hill" game? Just someone having a laugh?
No matter what, it *is* quite well done, though, and I am having fun keeping up with it.

I doubt it's marketing for a new Silent Hill game. As far as I'm aware, the next one is barely in development.

Agreed, Esteed . This probably has nothing to do with Silent Hill. More likely, the PM wanted some freaky music for his video and turned to Akira Yamaoka's SH soundtrack (a wise move!).

Absolutely agreed. Akira Yamaoka's soundtracks for the games are fantastic .

Playing the "Silent Hill" games at night freaks me out enough. If I was playing one and one of these creepy-ass videos popped up during the game, I think I would cry.

Try playing the first Fatal Frame game at about 2 in the morning, and after an intense ghost encounter that nearly killed you and used up all your film...your cell phone goes off on the table behind you.
I jumped about twelve feet out of my skin.

Some of these posts ARE plants...giving us tidbits of info or leading us in a specific direction to find things.
But, that being said, I am having fun playing along.

Well, this *IS* "unfiction". We're not supposed to know who is part of the game and who isn't.
And, I admit, there is no way of telling who is in on it and who isn't. But there are some obvious pointers as to which posters might be leading us by the hand to certain sites/people.
We can't read TOO much into it, though. I mean, look at MY post count...I just started posting yesterday, too, so who is to say that *I* am not part of it. *looks suspiciously at self*...

Well, yeah, but those who are "in on it" are not supposed to post as if they were a player in their game, or leave clues in the thread about it. It's sort of bad form.

Guys, check this out:

Eventually he realized that I was not part of any sort of art project...
This seems to be debunking the theory that this is just some kid's art project and giving us confirmation that the PM is reading Unforums (not that we didn't already know that).
Also, I've decided that I'm totally calm about this now. It's only not a game. :p
