 		im starting to wonder if the skulls and ted are siblings or something. On one hand you could say we should trust the skulls because they have yet to lie to us, but neither has ted. However one of them is lying, that much we can be sure of. Confused yet?

Madmen believe their delusions and become very believable. But I guess the real question boils down to did the skulls actually gather & cause the destruction or did something really stop them from completing the gathering & that's why there was destruction.

 		NB their skull pics are the same, with a "spilt" skull. I've seen something like those pics before so I'll have a shot if noone else is working on it at the mo.

EDIT: Yup there's a couple of levels to these, the split wording, and the stretched writing. So far the split words give me gibberish with the occasional word. However the stretched writing gives:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ami: "of mythos?" and "is name the"
Paris gives: "What the of con" and "tinent Cthulhu"

The split texts give:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ami: "okill wrong" and "cs ?ad thi hen"
Paris: "if you must you" and "are loing at it s"
I've either got some wrong (likely) or it's deliberately mixed to guide us to the first phrase.
So the phrase is something like
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What is the name of the continent of the Cthulhu mythos?
Which I believe is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hyperborea

I've mailed that as an answer, so we'll see.

 		I'm a little confused, because you guys aren't giving great links to the puzzles. Is there a new puzzle? Is it the one where the words are all stretchy and look like they're arranged in a pinwheel or something? I don't want to try to solve something that's already been solved...

You're possibly right, I got my answer from the Wiki too, in Cthulhu Mythos it mentions the Hyperborean cycle, and Hyperborea is a legendary continent in the Arctic. I think either can be linked to Cthulhu, but we've both covered now. Go us!

It was after the puzzle as that's the order I noticed it in, and it was less relevant, sorry if it wasn't clear. (I did say they both have a first post, first meaning first as in before anything else Laughing Wink )
