Nice solve! Smile

As for the offer of a new puzzle...

There has to be a catch here. Are they honestly just asking if we want another puzzle?

Obviously, my answer is, "Yes, I want another puzzle please!" They seem too anxious to join the Gathering.

Edit:

Ok, I see RedHatty's already sent for another puzzle. Thanks! Smile

Y'all are really into the beach bums' "little to none" vocab today aren't ya?

Well I'll say my two cents by saying that I believe that the reason why they want to join the gathering so quickly is because of the Ted Allen guy. I mean this is probably the closet they've gotten to all of them joining the gathering.....

So they're like foaming at the mouth to fulfill the prophecy! (that's the ONLY like you'll get from me.)

EDIT: Just saw my info, yay I'm a Veteran!

new puzzle is up on Paris.

EDIT: strange though, seems to be a stand alone puzzle, there's nothing from Ami, and Paris talks in like a full sentence dude.

E2: No one around? I have rudolph with his eyes poked out on this.

Ooooh triangle humour. I like it, could almost say it's acute.

Maybe starting with U, use the addition/subtraction equations to put letters in the other triangles, with the a = 1 method. Maybe that could reveal something.

BTW, our paranoia over Ted indirectly cost the life of Missy's uncle. She might need our support more than this puzzle right now. http://missyfisher.blogspot.com/2007/02/so-upset-right-now.html Crying or Very sad

Noyb, I think we basically did the same thing.

I started with the U and just counted up and down the alphabet the number of letters indicated by the numbers. I think there are a couple of typos because not everything worked out completely as I went around the circle, but I'm attaching what I got here, see below.

So, if you extract the letters left to right, you get:

UHANAQIHPHOSNPRGRDGFBAGURVEJNLGBGURKVONYONONYYPBHEGROT

I think the ROT at the end, plus the "13" is a hint to ROT-13 the whole thing, which gives

Quote:

HUNANDVUCUBFACETESTSONTHEIRWAYTOTHEXIBALBABALLCOURT

I was stumped by the seeming gibberish there until Red Hatty on chat pointed out that 'Xibalba' is a Mayan game, and "Hun" and "Vucub" are from Mayan folklore.

So, that gives:

HUN AND VUCUB FACE TESTS ON THEIR WAY TO THE XIBALBA BALL COURT

Now, what test did they fail?

EDIT: Nyob you really need to edit the comment in your attachment. It is waaay too long. Thanks!
