Hint: If you want cards on the 1st, don't go with Potomac.

I managed to get to Hamleys earlier today (Thursday). They still had the Hamleys set available at lunchtime, but you had to ask specifically for it. Unlike the S2 cards which were freely given out, the Hamleys set was locked in a drawer.
When I solved the five cards, I got a goodybag containing a complete Starter Kit (V2), with 9 extra S1 cards.
In short, it was well worth the trip.

OK UKver2.0 I will bite - who in the US has cards on the first?
[at Potomac full boxes are discounted, I might add, although you have a minimum purchase that is pretty steep]

Potomac's minimum order price is $125, which isn't too bad - two boxes would do it no problem. I've seen one website and a few auctions that claim to be able to deliver or the 1st, but they all get their cards from the same source and I know that that the source isn't recommending pre-orders yet because things aren't 100% firm yet.
To answer your question, I don't know yet. Once things are confirmed with the distributor, I'd recommend eBay. There are already some up right now (still, I'd wait to order until the distributor has the cards) and I'm sure more will follow as the day draws near. I don't think you'll see anything as low as Potomac, but they are distributors and expect you to be a reseller and price their boxes accordingly. There are distributors that are cheaper, but you have to have a business license and an account with them. Resellers get the boxes cheap enough that there is a lot of room for competition. Expect prices to dip as more eBayers join the fray.
Also, there are at least three US based eBayers that will be offering single cards and cards by color set with the aim of having them delivered by the 1st (again this is dependent on the cards getting to the distributor in time to get to the reseller in time to get the cards to you).
Bottom line is - the patient will be rewarded. That being said, pre-orders help sellers to secure funds so they can order more product. The more product the sellers have on hand - the easier it is to get to the customer. Additionally, if you can afford the luxury, ordering from Firebox (they have a US site now) helps PXC (MC and Firebox are connected) and they will have the best chances of getting the cards to you on release day.

Season 2 cards at Hamleys I was just at Hamleys half an hour ago and there were no special edition Hamleys cards there.
The nice lady from Mind Candy (unfortunately i didnt catch her name or recognise her) said that they were expecting a fresh print-run of the cards to be delivered this morning but they dont seem to have materialised just yet.
Not sure whether to try again this evening or not.
Also, the promotion ends this sunday .
Just so everyone knows.

Hamley's Cards Cards at Hamley's Hi all! My first post!
Just to let you all know; I just got back from Hamleys and they have a stack of the Hamley's cards and friendly staff!
However, there was a car crash at Oxford Circus .. .. so it is very busy at the moment.
Hope that helps!
Kind Regards,

Me too!!
Popped over again after work this evening and the print-run had arrived. Chatted to Lisa Long from Mind Candy (hangin upside down from the tree on the website).
They seem to have a large pile left but are being a bit strict on the 'one per customer rule".
Good luck to everyone going to Hamleys...

I also popped down again today, to meet Batgirl since she can't come to the Cubeparty
Anyway, chatted with Divinia (two up from upside-down tree-girl) and Guy's friend. I also saw the huge piles of Hamleys cards, though I was told they were running low on the S2 preview cards, since they were given out before the delivery of promo ones.
Oh, and even though the 1/person rule is being enforced, careful looking around the store will find you piles of discarded cards you can take for yourself. Yays.

I went yesterday (Thursday) just in time to see the last Hamley's cards get given out to someone else, and now can't make it back Didn't feel I could ask when the next print run was arriving, in case they said 'we gave you a ruddy Cube, what more do you want?'.
Met bakers_12, which was nice because we'd traded cards in the past but not seen each other in real life before.
Bought a bagful of marbles from the pick'n'mix display directly opposite the MC stand - hurrah for marbles
But did you know - there's an entire floor of soft toys but not one single fluffy llama . What's up with that? I may write to my MP.

Just a quick update. All my spare Hamleys promo cards have been reserved for people now. Sorry if you need a set, but I just don't have any more.
However! I'm making another trip down tomorrow (I'm not obsessed with this game, honest!) so I may be able to grab more. I'll update tomorrow.

Anyone that has "extra" Hamley's cards (I would like 2 sets, if you please) and have a $$$ or £££ amount set on them, kinda PM me for a transaction consideration.
Thank you,
