I suspect the Aquapolis flooding will happen in the future. We should contact Beth and AI Man and see if they can go to the Aquapolis and tell everyone to get out before the accident happens.

Has anyone noticed that the IP address shown on the level pics is the Metacortechs website? This is probably old news.

I noticed that but I figured it was old news, too... It could be where she logged in from which means she's not dead. If she's not dead, then nothing else really happened except for the Delos level flooding again. What's the significance of this log then???

Well, story-wise, the significance wouldn't be too big... "just" another flood. Game-wise though it gives us a password-possibility for a (future?) Katgirl login...
It turns out that I was mistaken by saying Katherine is not in Greece though. I forgot about the mail she wrote to MLO, stating that "A new admin has been hired and I will personally go over all the security issues with him next week. I will be touring the main facility on Tuesday and overseeing the new security procedures on Wednesday.
Btw, the IP being that of MetaCortechs has indeed been noted before, it seems to indicate that the logs were generate remotely from the Redland office (?).

Perhaps this is someone who figured out that katgirls password(s) and is trying to use that to override the safesys program. I doubt that Katherine would forget which password she uses to administer the program.

Perhaps they are systems tests. All the incident logs, except for the october 21 log where that guy drowned, showed an increment in the SafeSys version number.
October 8th: V2.42
October 21st: V2.42 (drowning)
November 6th: V2.54
November 18th: V2.61
The version number is in the level mapping at the bottom center.
I looked over the log for October 21 and it shows attempts at manual over rides that were denied. Perhaps they tried to fix the code so that a manual override is allowed so they don't get anyone killed again, but it failed. Maybe Katherine isn't dead after all. I'm lost...

i realize that everyone is focusing on the post date on the log file, but the actual time recorded in the log seems to be reasonable:
Quote:
2003.11.18-Autolog begin 20:03:25
8pm greek time is still before 5pm est. however, i find the log's end timestamp far more interesting:
Quote:
2003.10.21-Autolog end 20:08:00
Event Duration-00:04:35
isn't that the date of the drowning man? This is the timestamp from that log:
Quote:
2003.10.21-Autolog begin 10:24:49
with both this discrepancy and the discrepancy with the current time vs. post time, perhaps this is telling us something... i mean, the pms couldn't have made 2 typos, right?

Weird, weirder, weirdest! Yanka, where are you to shed light on this?!
[Edit] After taking a second look I can't help but think that this is an error. The time stamps follow eachother very neatly, and then suddenly the date at the bottom is wrong?? I hope this is a typo, else Beth's "friend" is wreaking havoc on The Aquapolis?!

This log is definetely strange.
I too thought that Kat was at AP and maybe got in trouble (drowned? caught at something?) - especially because of her seemingly frantic attempts at logging in and the half entry...
However some things are off: - if she was drowning, then who hit enter after she had typed half her name?
- why didnīt her pswīs work? If she is no longer the supervisor, then how did she log on SafeSys in the first place, and since she is on (otherwise she couldnīt do anything to it, supposedly - I donīt think itīs public access to just fire random pswīs at it?) why are all her pswīs blocked?
- What caused SafeSys to go from "deny" (at delos/13) to "systemsecure? In the other incidents this change was caused by a manual override, but that failed here.
Related: If someone did something to her, then why? Because of the file (what file?) she gave to "them" (which "them") - did she obtain some knowledge she canīt have?
OK, from here on in the rest of my thoughts probably belong in the "wild specs" thread...

Follows that...

Aqua
I believe it follows the pattern we've seen before. Once the system is quiet for one whole minute, then the system issues the "systemcheck" to re-query and verify things are secure.

the partial username is probably her just testing to see if it won't accept just any old username, especially not a partial match to an active username... some food for thought, because after that, commands are still being sent (even though it DOES say syntax error... perhaps she's just checking the syntax?)

Someone made mention about the Delos level always being flooded. I can't say why, but a quick google brought up this:

It might hold some meaning.

Not trying to "steal your thunder" or anything, but way back I posted some info on Delos, inspired by the "Delos Lounge" at the Aquapolis, including THIS SITE , which is linked to from the Aquapolis web page.
It's interesting that this is cropping up again with all the Delos flooding.
