I highly doubt this as I live near Pittsburgh yet all of my clues have been for DC so there isn't even a coin in Pittsburgh.

I agree-- seems bogus. I know people in Pittsburgh who are searching for the Washington DC coin, too.

Looks like a fake image to me. It's far too blurry, you're anonymous, and you're boasting about it. If I get a coin I sure as hell wont' be posting it here.

But, I've seen images of the coin online in promotional pieces. Would you mind showing us the back?

yes if you show a coin, please tell what city it was found in. It would clarify things, and save people trips IMO. thanks.

I called the hotline again. After confirming all my information they asked for the coin number, which I didn't have. After explaining that I just wanted to know whether or not it has already been found in order to save one hell of a trip, she talked with her supervisor and then told me that if a coin in your area is found, it will let you know after you log in to the website. I was wondering if people who know the coin in their area has been claimed can confirm this, because its giving me a faint glimmer of hope.

Also, it would definitely be more legit to take a pic of the other side of the coin with a piece of tape or something over the confirmation code, since that side of the coin has been displayed online. I'm not calling it a fake, just saying that the other side would be more compelling.

Did I meet you today looking for the Louisiana coin? A group of us were out there. There'd going to be a lot of competition tomorrow. You haven't found it already, have you? Newspaper guy
