I haven't seen this film no matter what it is, but I'm going to guess Until the End of the World based on some Googling. Right or wrong, I think it's a movie I'll be checking out once we learn the answer.

Edit: OK, I think this confirms it, but as I don't have something new lined up yet, I'll wait for the official word.

I have seen it, and I thought I had seen all of it, but after reading the wikipedia entry I have to say that I totally didn't understand what was going on except the vaguely-post-apocalyptic road movie part. Things kept happening that seemed to have no point in the plot and then suddenly we're in the outback hiding out...odd movie.

if you can find it, the best version of this film is the 280 minute cut. the shorter cut does feel confusing after seeing the longer piece.
